It has been a slow week. I am not feeling the best and the doctors don't know whats up. I have done some small projects, but nothing big. I made up my load cars and unloaded cars were already done. I found my water cans for the trestle and also the center tracks for the trestle. I got the sawmill where it is supposed to be but not glued down yet. Found my Steam Donkey for loading the wood onto the cars. I have the logging camp set up but not glued in yet. I found all the wood logs for the logging camp. I got the hotel and the little whore house in place and hope its glued down. I made up short pillars for the office /store. Saw filers shack is done but for the pillars. I got the spar pole in place and i found a couple of the stumps that held it up when it had a load. I think thats about all. I still have to finish the mountains yet, but standing over the layout bent over hurts so much i can't do it right now. The doctor and i both were talking about slowly going off the oxygen, but this weakness/ pain isn't helping. I have gone back to where i was before. 2 liters. Not making any difference yet. I am not doing good but i did almost finish the right side hill and town areas. Not sure but if things keep going on this way i am going to end up in hospital. I am asking the hard questions.. Do i have some kind of cancer. They are going to do some testing to see if anything is not right. My fathers side has a history of cancer so i am asking those tough questions. Will let you know. Well, One thing i did was pull a muscle on my right elbow area. Still somewhat weak but doctor gave me something that kicks my body to loose fat and turn it into fuel for the body. So far its not doing much but have to give it time to start working. He also took me off two meds that could be doing more harm than good. I have a couple of shots of the lumber area. I have been fixing things and doing some simple scenic things. It don't look like much but once i get the little things done i can do some grasses and bushes and a couple of trees maybe. Will see. The pieces got a lot of damage to it and i am making wood pieces to replace the bad or broken parts and getting things fixed. It will look better once i get the scenery done to it. Laters

woops, Forgot the new for sure is: I am no longer waiting for Kato to ship out its new flex track! A friend found a you tube of Mike Fifer that showed how to make a piece of flex track out of curved or straight Kato track! So, I can do this. Well its rough in the pictures but it will work! As its not a long piece it wasn't as hard as i thought. I did it with a curved piece of R240-45 track. Worked perfect. All the goodies in shots below, Smokey

I am so bored so i am continueing the work on the layout. The area is the track down to the Log dump and the track on the other side. I got the rail sodered really good. I ran a couple of cars down from the mountain side and it rolled right down to the ramp track no issue. All need to finish is the glue down and then JB weld to fill and mold the roadbed back to what i want. Shots below, Laters

The sawmill waste dump pipe installed. The track to the log dump finished. Getting ready to start grasses and weeds pretty much next. One shot of the fun at the sawmill. Laters

Its been a few days getting the crane rebuilt. Wood glue wouldn't do it and Super glue was about the only thing that would work. Even that was a PITA!! Anyway, its doe. Shots below, Smoke

Looking good Smoke!
Hope you’re doing better, working on the layout should be therapeutic although sometimes I wonder...

Logging camp work today. Picture don't really show all the damage they got. I will need to bend the roofs to look more correct. Once these ae dry i can place them on the layout. Shot below shows the work.

I was going to repair the barn last night but when i got the barn off i found it had more damage than thought. The walls were slated wood on a very small framework. I had issues with repairs when i reset it last time on the old layout. This time, not able to fix. I have a new barn kit coming. Of course its wood. I love wood kits. They are so much better looking and very much more realistic. It should be here by next week. I can finish the logging camp while waiting. I can also work on the Houses for the camp. I am about halfway finished on the old buildings. I guess its getting time to start grasses and trees. a shot below of the logging camp. Nothing glued down and the logging spur isn't finished yet. Its built but not finished. It will be so much better when its finished

I got the structures all down and drying. I will still need to string the "ropes" to the two spar trees and the steam donkey. Also some stumps for the ropes.Thats all for now. I am tired. I got someone to take my fish tank and stand along with the stuff it needs to keep it clean. It was just more than i could handle. Someone else can have the fun.

My Barn kit came in today. I have been getting different questions here and other sites i am with, about wood kits over Plastic. I thought as this is a simple kit i would show how easy it is to put it together. This one didn't come in a box but in a foam wrap. At the present time it is drying after putting the main structure together. There are 8 pieces to put together and then after that there is wood lazer cut for doors and other markings to enhance the model. Shots below.
