The green water with white in it is the water drying. The deeper the pour is ,the longer it takes to turn back to green. The rest is plaster and cloth. My hands hurt so much so i can only get so much done in a week. I need to really get more of the rock work done. My caregiver at the va isn't listening to me when i say my hands are not carpul tunnel. That don't make my fingers ache and cramp and all the other stuff i am dealing with. My wrist itself don't hurt. Its my hands, fingers ache, cramp, get burning feelings and sharp pains. I want to throw something at him to wake him up. A grenade could work....

Well.. I got tired of white! Now a lot of Grey. I ran out of paint and need a couple of more brushes. At least my hands get a break. Sometimes i just have to push myself. I will pay for it tonight and tomorrow. Shots below, Smokey

Actually, Some blue in that there grey!! No black. Took a photo of my old layout with the grey color i needed and did the mix. Getting ready to paint. Lets see how this goes.

Well, I got the first coat done. I have some touch up and some other missed spots. I don't know what hurts more, Lower back or my hands. A tie i think. Shots of the fun below. After shot with the photo in the frame. looks a bit lighter but i can live with that. It will darken when i apply washes to it. About time i get something right!!

A couple of different things. First i am taking a break drom the layout. I can run some trains but am not going to be doing anything to the scenery. My hands are hurting so bad i don't even want to type. I am thinking about cleaning the track to the upper level that goes to the logging camp. I haven't ran a train up there since before i built the tressle. Time to open that up. Not sure when i will do that. I will make a video when i do it.I am seeing my Doctors.. to see what they think about my hands and what they want to do about them. My left hand is the worst of the two. Laters folks

Big bummer with the hands, my left is worse with arthritis, seems kind of counterintuitive since I am right handed. I think the left ends up doing all the dirty work and the right is reserved for fine tuning.

So, I decided to install a dcc chipset into the Bli model NW2. I have two of them. Both have the junk paragon 3 in it. I have heard the newest paragon 4 works way better. Both of mine are out of warranty. They don't use standard wiring colors but had very little problems figuring them out. Right now i am waiting for a new dcc chipset to come. The one i had was faulty. The wires kept coming off i couldn't get it done so it went back to Digitrax for replacement. My hands are really giving me trouble and went this morning and he has me on a couple of meds and got a shot too. Hope they work. Gonna take a few more days to let my hands heal. Just a couple of updates. one is i got the new air compressor for my paint guns is coming. Second is i went to see my Doctor about my hands. They keep using shots and a couple of other things and one of them is a cream that you apply to your hands about 4 times a day. Been doing all and am having some success with that. third is new dcc chip for the NW-2. More on that later. More later!

My lupus has my joints hurting a lot, honestly feel bad for ya cuz I know it can take some of the joy out of life. Hope you can do something for it

They are slow in the Va health care system. I do think they have finally come to believe me with the issues I have been telling them. Sometimes you have to repeat the same song with a baseball bat!! They are treating me to some kinds of drugs. My hands are better but still ache and the more i try to use them the worse they ache. I can do a little then quit for the rest of the day. Maybe in time it will get better. This one med they gave me seems to work for me. I forgot the main brand name but thats what the Va doesn't do, They almost always use a generic name. I have heard that arthritis can be totally reversed. Don't know for sure, Just what i have heard. Guess i will find out.
On another note i guess my stuff is list in a snow bank somewhere. Maybe sometime in March or April i can get what i ordered back in January and so far this month. Till then, I can let my hands try and heal.

My Air Compressor came in today!! My airbrushes are ready but letting my hands heal some more.The dcc chip for my NW2 is out there somewhere and so is my trees. 50-2 inch trees in all. That takes of the trees i need. I had to drive to Lawton today. Deb is getting some surgery done on her eyes. Cataracts in both eyes. I love to travel but handling the steering wheel in a cross wind isn't fun for my old truck, or my hands. I have a hard time wrapping around the fact that i am almost 70 years old and can't do what i did 25 to 30 years ago. Sucks getting old!!!!

Im starting to feel all the lumps and bumps I’ve taken over the years but I’m a little ways from seventy yet.

Here’s a fun little tidbit tho, I did my retirement calculations today and discovered the guv'mint expects me to die at eighty five.
I'm gonna do my best to disappoint them!

Well, If its going to be...all me...
I got tired of looking at the parts and decided to do a bit of work on the little engine that can, The little NW2 needs paint and a new dcc chipset. I had one chip but it went bad when wires kept coming off. New chip came in from Mike and am installing it soon. I had started getting the engine ready to paint. I have 3 thin coats of paint on so far.Gonna take one more for sure but, maybe two coats to finish. I have some of the pictures of the fun below. Just taking my time so as to not mess up my hands. I think i will wait till tomorrow on the paint.

I got the rest of the painting done and looks like its good to dry. I enfef up hand painting part of the cab. It was never painted from the factory. Looks pretty good to me. Shots below
