I'm watching a cable TV show right now called "Really Big Things" (Comcast HD Net Channel) and they are showing the manufacturing process for the Evolution locomotive. Man this is awesome!

Really interesting how they build this thing. They have like 10 stages of the manufacturing process, from the engine building, to the final assembly of the shell.

Really good looking diesel, when can we expect the model RR manufacturers to offer this? I WANT ONE NOW!

Intermountain is manufacturing them now in HO. first batch due in April, another set of roadnames in late summer.

Thanks for the show heads up. Ill have to look for a replay and dvr it...

history channel had a modern marvels recently on locomotives. they showed the building of a BNSF SD70Ace during it from start to finish.
