So I have built me a Catholic school. I have landscaped it. I have a beautiful fence around it. I have a school bus ! I have nuns ! But no kids !

I got myself a big surprise when I assumed it would be easy to get figures of school children in uniform. Not so ! I can't find any anywhere ! So what to do now?
I should never assume, because when you assume,

you make an ASS out of U and ME :D

Does anyone have any ideas or am I stuck ?

Would not some n scale adults pass for ho scale kids ?

I know some 1/1 scale adults that could pass as 1/1 scale kids! :p
As Jos said Preiser should have them, also try Noch, Merten, and Faller.
Ooh, just remembered Busch too.

Here you go, Larry, a double hitter, a nun with school children:

If you want them in uniform, just grab a paint brush and change a few details. My uniform was blue pants with a white shirt and the girls had a blue skirt with a white blouse. Of course, that was a long time ago - I don't think there are many nuns in habits or school children in uniform now.

The nuns are different but the uniforms are still very much the same. We have St. John's school near us. The boys wear navy blue pants and the girls wear navy blue skirts. White shirts and blouses as well. I might be able to repaint the kids. It's worth a try. Strange how they seem to have thought of everything except something as common as this ! It's not just the Catholics in uniforms....all the kids in the UK wear uniforms. Most private schools have uniforms. They missed the boat somehow.

Did you mean physically ? :)

Thanks...I'm still looking...but no luck yet. I just might have to get out the paint brush.

Lately I've been buying a lot of Model Power figures & they might have what you want.
When I went to Catholic School(St.Johns) in Hialeah, Fl. in the 50's we wore Blue Pants & White shirts & the nuns wore the long white habits(sisters of mercy). So. there hasn't been much of a change except for the nuns. Somewhere I saw Nuns in HO scale. Like everyone says get N adults for HO kids.

St. Johns ! that's a coincidence ! My wife when to Lauralton Hall
http://lauraltonhall.groupfusion.net/overview/community.phtml It's an all girls high school. She wore a navy blue jumper with a white blouse. She hated it ! Too long, she said ! She was jealous of the girls in the other Catholic schools that wore plaid mini skirts.
I'm modeling the 80s so it an in between time for nuns. Nuns are no problem, just the kids. I will look into that N scale idea to see if it works for me. Thanks Larry.

The other Larry

Let's see, I started out in a Catholic school 1940. Of the three Catholic schools in the town there were no uniforms (other than the sports teams) and that was pretty much the same for all the towns around. Clothes had to be clean, no sneakers or gum boots allowed (how many remember those :D), It's still the same today (sneakers are now called running shoes and are allowed) but I believe all the schools are in the public domain now.

Cheers
Willis
