Update, got some more ground cover done over by the Grain Silo, also added some grass round the inner track between the track and where the security fence's will be.

Pulled all the odds and sods that I'd left lying around off the layout so I can get a proper look at where everything is on the Industrial area and I'm happy with it before I start drilling holes to power the light's etc.

OMG, there's gotta be a better way!! Smudge, I just started reading this from the beginning. I can't wait to see where you take it.
Thanks Hutch, when those were taken, I had 16 point motors, and 24X2 aspect ground signal's plus16 LED point indicators all wired into one main switch board. I've re-wired it all now, made it a lot simpler and a lot less of a mess. :)

You have definitely been taken good note of the lessons with your research here the quality of work is showing all the signs of being an enviable finished job, I notice even little items like the grass are no longer monotone, as the whole moves forward these little steps will have an amazing impact on the finished item….well no layout is reply ever finished but you know what I mean lol.
Many fail to appreciate that you should usually avoid large swathes of pure single colour Exceptions on some layouts that reflect large tracks of arid landscape etc), nice work

Thank you, I kept it very simple to start with as this one was only to keep me occupied during lockdown, that's one of the reasons that I have so many surface point motors is that it was supposed to be temporary so I never really had a plan for it, and it's sort of grown from there.
Dont know why, but I just love your layout! It gets better and better every time you post!
Thanks Gary, glad you like it.

Glue's working thankfully, taken me most of the day to do this, still have to add one more strand of "barbed wire" and pull through the two I've already done, also need another kit, as I'm one side short, my fault, I measured in inches, kits are in metric, duh!
last section I'm waiting on drying but I'll leave it now to the morning, then start on the fence for the machine shop, which being plastic should be easier and quicker.

Just one question: Do you think you can fix these little problems one day ? If you are looking for me I am already far away...🤣 🤣 🤣

The gap in the track is one of those, " if it ain't broke, then don't fix it" ones.
The missing rail ties, is one of those, "I'll get round to it at sometime"
And I honestly can't remember why the screws there, apart from the fact it's holding the track that is. :)
