Alcomotive

Grandson of an ALCO Builder
So I went to the Celebration for the 40th anniversary of the Batten Kill Railroad in Cambridge Upstate New York on Saturday. It was an absolute beautiful day. The weather was just gorgeous! All the locomotives that was there were ALCOs very cool! There was even a caboose there as well. There were a total of 4 ALCO locomotives. One locomotive #605 a RS-3 was missing due to maintenance work and repairs. I will share a picture of that I took on 09-24-2022 at the end of this series of posts.

Anyways I will share my photos that I took while I was there. I had some challenges while taking pictures as in the usual people walking into your shot etc and working with the sun position as well. I think I got a few good pictures so enjoy. I will try to put some caption information for some of the pictures.

So first up is an ALCO S-2 yard Goat switcher: #3021

Excellent James, thanks for sharing. The article about the owner letting the rail fan into the enginehouse is great.
