Considering for my HO Layout the Swich Tender by Micro Mark and wonder if anyone would care to offer any pros or cons on this product. Thank for any advice.
 
I've used them before and they work OK but I don't like the screw drive mechanism. Compared to the Tortoise, they're noisy and it's harder to adjust the throw stops. Since you can get a Tortoise for a buck less at http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/product_p/800-6000.htm, I see no advantage to using the Switch Tender. One of our members, MGWSY (Mark), may be able to get you an even better price if you need more than one or two.

I can get the tortoise machines for $11 each when in a 6 pack and $10 each when in a 12 pack. My source is out of 12 packs at this time though. Only 6 packs ($66) and singles which are ($11.75)
