I'd love to see some swamp photos. I will need the swamp for two modules that I will be building.

What kind of swamp? Southern Cypress tree swamp, a more typical tropical Mangrove swamp, or the kind you find up north in places like Minnesota? What geographic location will the modules be based on? There are many different kinds and looks to swamps. I have a Southern seasonal swamp, which gets fairly dry in the winter and wet in the summer. I'll be happy to post some pictures if that's the kind of thing you're after.
It would be northern Wisconsin swamp.
Irregular terrian, water and grass growth. No trees.

I'm afraid I can't help you much since my swamp has lots of trees...and snakes.

Your best bet is to work from actual photos of the swamps in the are you want to model. Swamps are not a common thing to model so I doubt you'll get too many responses, especially for the rather barren looking northern type swamp you want to model. One thing I'd suggest is to go to
http://www.sceneryexpress.com/products.asp?dept=1232 and check out their Buffalo Grass. The late autumn color would probably best represent your swamp. It's a little pricey but the easiest way I know to make low lying tufted plants.
This is the closest thing to a swamp I have.
Actually it's more of a marsh on the edge of a river...
