SW1500 questions

I have an Athearn IHB SW1500. It has the EMD style trucks on it, I would like to convert to the Alco style trucks, as is prototypical of IHB.

Any idea where? I'm getting back into model railroading. I always thought they were Alco trucks, thanks for the correction. And also, can anyone tell me what phase NW2 this is?

Those are AAR style trucks. A simple switch as the side frames are interchangeable. If you need a set, I am in need of a set like the ones under your SW1500. I would be happy to trade them if you were interested.

If you could post pics of how to do it, I would be more than happy to if they will whitch, I believe my side frames are plastic.

Is your 1500 a RTR or Blue Box? I am not sure if the RTR side frames will work on a BB unit. To get the side frame off, all you have to do is use a small flat head screw driver and slide it between the side frame and the truck assembly and gently pry it off.

Was mainly RTR in a BB.

Found info on the NW2, it is a Phase V.
