Does anyone (athearn, atlas, or other) make an HO SW1200? I think athearn might have made one several years ago, but am not sure if it actually was an SW1200 or something like an SW8. I'm looking for a locomotive to use as a starting point for modelling a CN SW1200RS, so it's mostly the low-profile running gear that i'm looking for (unlike the new athearn RTR SW1500 mechanism).
Any info would be appreciated,

Peter.

The ages old Athearn SW-7 is what modelers have been making CN SW1200RS models with for years, myself included. The detail kit that Juneco used to offer was made specifically for this Athearn loco, came with all sorts of goodies - new pilots, number boards, cooling pipe array for the side of the fuel tank, horn, bell, cab roof markers, etc. Kinda crude white metal stuff but that's all there was at the time.

Athearn originally mistakenly identified the SW-7 as a SW-1500 for a very long time, until they brought out the real Sw-1500.

Paul beat me, but yea, Proto 2000 make an SW1200, and a pretty nice one if I remember right.
