I keep my buildings and accessories sheltered because The Husband's plant hobby and its demand for frequent watering and fertilizer aren't entirely friendly to my layout. The "furniture" has lived inside the house between runs until yesterday when we bought a plastic storage cabinet to shelter the buildings outdoors close to the layout. This is a Sterilite product that I'm happy to recommend for its reasonable price, no metal parts to rust, and no-tools ease of assembly.
Now I have an excuse to add more buildings to the layout!
Of course, that can also include extending the track, adding a train or two, buying another cabinet or two, ......... Do you see where this is finally going? Stay tuned.
