Here is the start of my new Australian HO Layout 15x9 feet in 6 sections with folding legs

I noticed U used 1" square tubing on yours.
Mine is 2X2'X1/8" angle & is 24 X 40 ft. I've been using metal to make all my tables since 1988. Sure makes it easy to put together. I used a mig on mine, how about yours? Mine is permanent in sections. The shortest table is 3ft by 8ft & the longest is 16ft by 3ft. I use 4ply plywood for the tops.

The main part of the frame is made from 1x1/2 tube and the rest is 1x1, i use a mig on mine to put it togetherand the top is 12mm chip board painted well.
Its made in 6 foot sections to fit the club trailer.
 
Looks like you could run a track race on that thing. That's some pretty beefy looking benchwork. :)
 
It is very strong frame because its a exhibtion layout and its easy to setup takes 15min from start to running trains and the way its trasproted it need to be like that
