I'm looking for a decoder I can use to control a 1 - 2 AMP motor (0 - 12 VDC). Does not need to be a mobile decoder, so size is not an issue. Don't need any functions such as lights or horns. I could use a mobile decoder, but figured it would be a waste of functions and size. Any suggestions?

I don't believe anyone makes a motor only decoder. They are all going to come with a minimum of motor and lights.

You might look at this accessory decoders such as Team Digitals' Servette single servo controller: https://www.teamdigital1.com/prod_catalogue/servette_product/servette.html .

While the servo control is not likely what you want, the servette includes a DPDT relay that can be controlled (addressed) separately and you could run your DC power for the motor through that.

I know there are other accessory decoders, but this caught my eye as the relay should easily handle the 2 amp load you need. Just google dcc accessory decoders to see what else is out there.

Did a little more searching and this decoder may work as well Accu-Lites 6001 Tortoise DCC Stall Motor Decoder, but I can not find install instructions so do not know what current it can handle. The product page is here: https://acculites.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=102&products_id=662
