I have 4 loco's with Tsunami sound,I have been reading feverishly and cant find out how to do prime mover shutdown sound.help please!
thanks,
Chad
I don't know, but I would like to know as well, I just had a tsunami installed in my amtrak F59. It goes through the startup, but I can't find any option for shutdown other than the mute button.
You can shut down the tsunami in two ways. The first way only works if your DCC system has the feature. If your DCC system has an emergency stop feature, pressing the emergency stop button will initiate the shutdown sequence.
The second way is to enable manual notching. If you try to notch down from idle, you will shut off the locomotive.
So there's no shutdown sound sequence then?
I enabled the Quiet mode and that works good as far as shutting it down.
There is a shutdown "sequence" where the prime mover slows down then shuts off.

Ahaaaaa that worked!!! I just hit the stop button and it went through the shutdown sequence. Nice of them to leave this out of the manual.
Thanks!
They describe it on page 3 of the users guide. The emergency stop is for both start up and shutdown or just shutdown if you have digitrax or MRC.
Both the users guide and technical reference have tons of info that will keep you busy for some time.

I remember reading about the "emergency stop"..but I thought they were refering to the power button......
I have a digitrax zepher and a digitrax hand held throttle(ut4??? ithink..)

The Zephyr's built in throttle and the UT throttles do not have an Emergency Stop (The Zephyr talks about an "emergency stop" but all it does is shut off power to the layout). You would have to get a DT series throttle or a PC interface and use a software throttle to get an emergency stop.
The Zephyr does not have an emergency stop button. The other Digitrax throttles have them though
Note for the next of a hundred "What's the best DCC Starter System?" question. No emergency stop button.

Not all of the other Digitrax throttles have the emergency stop. As I already stated, the UT throttles don't.
