Some quasi commercial dockage of sorts in Pt Dover

Dockside and seaside structures are very interesting and have character. I would like one day to model a rural dockside scene when I get a bigger place with more space.
I was inspired by an image I saw on the east coast of Canada to scratchbuild this building one winter evening. For now it lives in the distant corner of my layout.
Keep up the good photo taking/documenting.

Came across a few things as well here---notice the top of the bridge. See all the plantage there? Think someone forgot to cut the grass, so to speak?:rolleyes:

We did some drive bys a couple of days ago--some actually came out!!:eek:

These were done in Hamilton with U.S. Steel's plant and Arcellor-Mittal being the center pieces---I've really got to get some cards for Martin and myself to go into these places---sheeesh:rolleyes:

Honestly! Almost a month without any new photos!!!

Here are two taken in Alton, IL. They are of the grain terminal (ADM I believe, correct me if my memory is wrong) that is situated between the high river bluffs and the Mississippi River with route 100 cutting through the facility. Sorry for the downward angle of the second photo. I was driving and the wife was taking a picture on the move :) This would be a very neat scene to model. It really almost seems like it is a model, the way everything is tightly packed and the bluffs make a great backround.

The building in the first photo is the same one in the center of the second photo.
