I believe this is my all time favorite song. In '74, we drove across the lower 48, going from Portland OR, to NYC NY and back to LA CA. Heard this song over and over again on the radio. Didn't know who sang it or the name of the song, but finally found out in '85 after going through that gigantic book that they had in a music store.
