You are dating yourself dear friends. Haven't thought about them in decades.

Wow! They're still around, just googled them!
Which "them?" Spyro Gyra?

That said, I think I can safely speak for the rest when I saw we, are, for the most part...quite proudly...Dated around here. "Weathered," as it were.
Pick yer poison. We've got it in here.

And I just saw a popup I can't ignore from the "Whipped Cream" LP, so I gotta go back for this one. A standard, I think:

I prefer the slower version, but Sinatra cut loose on it too:

Fox News coverage of search for second aircrewman from an F-15E Strike Eagle apparently shot down in Southwestern Iran. One crewman rescued, but second one still missing. Praying for his safe recovery.

Tuned in to the Rockies-Phillies game, but Phillies were ahead at the top of the 1st 7-0! Went back to Fox!
Successful recovery I think?

Not much in the way of range call-outs at this point I suppose.

That is a numbers station frequency. Suspected to be US assets transmitting from southwest Germany. Station has been located and triangulated for position. Been trying to hear this station since beginning of March without success.

I just remembered that I used Morning Dance as my test song on a cassette tape while shopping around for a boom box.

From the Rise album.

Oh yeah. So many times I've listened to this fanfare to get it rolling. I thought it would make a great quick musical intro for a broadcast of the Monaco Grand Prix. Balaclavas on, then helmets on (chin straps tightened), gloves on, belts tightened (by the mechanics--the driver can't do it because the cockpits are all too tight). Lining up on the grid about 0:22...cars nervous, creeping forward as in the seventies, and then the green flag (or lights) at 0:35. The pack madly racing toward the "two cars into one space" first corner chicane at Saint Devote, the scene of so many ridiculous first lap crashes over the years, but somehow scrambling through this time and streaming up the meandering hill toward the Casino. And the old waterfront chicane (90 mph+), not the newer, slow one (25 mph). Old swimming pool and the old hairpin at La Rascasse (not the new one, changed because Michael Schumacher somehow couldn't manage to drive it when everyone else could).

Ah, yeah I saw that, but somehow had the idea it was a station broadcasting from inside Iran back out, not the other way round.
