i want to add smoke unit into my new T-1 2-10-4 fro BLI blueline. does anyone have any experience with this locomotive and adding smoke?

Yes. Don't do it! It's expensive, the smoke really doesn't look as good as BLI claims it does, and the smoke mist gets all over everything on the layout. It's a better version of the usual train set smoke gimmick but that's all it is - a gimmick and way more of a pain than amy real gain.
