I am going to the model railroad show tomorrow at Anaheim Convention Center. I have never been to such a show. What can I expect? I am hoping to buy a steam locomotive and possibly lighted passenger cars of the steam era. Also, I hope to see layouts that I might want to replicate. Are my expectations realistic? Does anyone have experience with model railroad shows they'd care to share?
I am going to miss tomorrow's playoff games for the show. I pray I will not be disappointed.
Happy New Year,
ST
ST, it's been a long time since I went to the Anaheim show but it has always been a mosly dealer to delaer show with almost no private parties. I never found a good deal once the three times I went. I hope it's changed.
up2CSX,
Thanks for the info. At least now I know what to expect. If all I come away with are images of layouts, it could be worth my while.
Vaya con dios, amigo,

No problem, I hope it's a good show for you.
The show was not that productive. I spent less than fifty bucks, parking & admission included. I heard much lament about our economic condition. Apparently not too much money exchanged hands. But overall it was worth while.
Good Railroading,
ST
