I've been busy....I scratchbuilt this car...in 1/29 scale.
I wanted a Hycube boxcar I could run on my indoor layout and these MiniHycube appliance cars fit the bill.
To make it easier on me I decided to cast the pieces so I only had to scratchbuild 1 side, 1 door, 1 roof, and the end is a kitbash from a USA Trains boxcar.

What do you think?

WOW!!! Brian....you did a fantastic job!! I would love to do these bigger scales, they have so much detail you can put into them.

Thanks guys,

Dave,

I don't have too many pictures yet.....but here's one of the resin pieces just before I began assembling them

Look's like a Money maker to me! You ought to make a batch and take them to a train show, i bet they sell like hot cakes!

Dang, Brian, I don't know how I missed this before, but that's a fantastic model. It came out really smooth and even for resin castings. The paint and decals are outstanding also.

Thanks again guys!

I have been busy casting up enough pieces for a few more of these.
I'll end up with another MILW, a BN, and an IC or ICG.

But they are on hold until I finish up my DT&I GP38-2 in the Bicentennial paint scheme.
