Well,

Been home and back this morning...Seems a smoke detector decided we had smoke in the house and set itself and the rest of the detectors off. Good news is the it was just a faulty detector (10 years old). I'll get a replacement at lunchtime and replace it when I get back home. Bad news is no overtime this week...:(

I think we're going to have the discussion in earnest again when I get home about a smaller house. Her comment was the house is too big and she can't get to the basement to check on things. It would fit as she says we've never paid off a house. We do not owe a ton on it and if we could find a 2 bedroom that would be all we need. According to the county appraiser we have enough to buy a smaller house.

Willie, if they like circuses, they’ll love the place I work…
Ever been in government? 😁 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey have nothing on us.

Good morning, all,

Happy November!

Going up in the 40s today with abundant sunshine, so our snow event last night will be gone by afternoon.

Took my daughter and a couple of friends to the premium neighborhood last night. Thats the neighborhood that goes all out for Halloween, and gives out the good stuff. It wasn't nearly as busy as years past. It was cold, windy and snowy. They started at 5:15, and at 6:15 they said they had enough. We had a ton of candy left over as well. Wife finally shut the light out at 6:30.

Stay safe everyone!

D-Backs have a really tough road ahead!
They sure do, but as you know it has been done before!

1925: Pittsburgh Pirates over Washington Senators
1958: New York Yankees over Milwaukee Braves
1968: Detroit Tigers over St. Louis Cardinals
1979: Pittsburgh Pirates over Baltimore Orioles (I remember this one all too well!)
1985: Kansas City Royals over St. Louis Cardinals
2016: Chicago Cubs over Cleveland Indians

Is anyone bored yet, or jealous??? Here's a few more from the HO scale layout.

I'm somewhat jealous, but I have to admit that I wouldn't have the time to maintain a layout of this size without spending 12-14 hours a day.
More from this extensive layout later.

MIKE -- I've been a closet Cubs fan forever!

We had a few over 200 trick/treaters last evening - I watched the game!
The Spousal Unit always buys 6-7 boxes of the large bars from Costco ... I think she told me that she ran out, but that the two resident urchins chipped in for her - they each had a bucket full.
I told the daughter that the dentist is going to love her!

Afternoon All,

I just realized that I forgot to post yesterday. That means I have several posts from yesterday.

Today I did chores, went to Harbor Freight for 9v batteries and then to ALDI. After an early lunch I glued (CA gel) the styrene "steel" bracingto the wood bracing (12 pieces) and painted the NBW's (52) that I plan to start mounting tomorrow. To prevent drill wobbling, I'll drill the holes by hand. I figure it can't be any worse than drilling holes in resin kits.

Chad- Best wishes on your goal.

Smudge- Cool video. It would be interesting to do.

TomO- Don't give the thieving b******s an inch. Good luck with the circuit breaker project.

Willie- Great news. More great layout shots.

James- Happy Birthday.

Joe- Best wishes for your MIL and relief for your wife.

David- Good news on both items. Great 1:1 photos.

Troy- Good luck with the marketing.

I hope everyone has a good night.
