I've not had much time recently, but I have kept up with most posts. Forgive me if I missed something. All those with health issues are in my thoughts and prayers. For those on journeys, take your time and be safe.
We celebrated my grandson's 16th birthday, finally. I've been following the demise of the Orioles, not fun, but they are my Birds!
Let's Go O's! Many various other tasks. As my late mother-in-law like to say, "Everything takes time" I can't do it justice as she would say it in Hungarian (Magyar) I can't pronounce it let alone spell it. She was a brilliant lady and a true pleasure to be around. We love you Mamma and we miss you.
We had an F1 tornado touch down in Federal Hill in Baltimore, Friday night. It passed east tearing the roof off a gym in Canton (no chance of me being there. Me at a gym, now that is funny.) before lifting in Dundalk, where I live! WTF!? I thought the city was safe from tornados! There were no serious injuries, but a few trees and many limbs were down. No damage at our house and I slept straight through it. We didn't lose power but over 5000 did. BGE (Baltimore Gas and Electric) had more than 80% of power restored in less than 24 hours, well done!
My grandson drove us to a little Italian Restaurant nearby. He has his learner's permit. He was a bit nervous driving on the roads for the first time, but he did great! I told him, "Don't worry we have airbags and good insurance"
The little place, Vinny's Cafe on Holabird avenue was fantastic and I'm not a fan of Italian food. My wife got a seafood platter; my son got some kind of huge salad. My grandson and I said to the waitress simultaneously "Meat lovers' pasta" that's my boy! Only my son was able to finish his food. My wife, my grandson and I couldn't finish even half of it. It was giant portions! It was a little pricey, but hey this aint the White Coffee Pot!

I made my order without thinking "there will be Italian sausage in the meat lover's pasta" I never had an Italian sausage I like. First time for everything, I loved it! The menu said everything was handmade on premises. It was all fantastic! Did I tell you it was fantastic?
After we ate, we returned home to Ice Cream cake and presents for my boy. I loved the look on his face as he opened his presents. Poppy still knows what to buy to surprise him and extra cash is always appreciated by teenagers. As a throw in I picked him up an Orioles' t-shirt, he loved it!
@kbkchooch I had my transmission fluid changed, again on Friday. Thanks to Karl for the heads up about the 30,000-mile interval. I had mentioned I had 110,000miles on my Equinox and Karl told me "You better change the transmission fluid!" I always follow Karl's advice. He is a true GM professional and he knows his shit! Luckily, I drive gently, and I didn't cause any problems. But I'm not taking any chances. I have 184,000 thousand on the Equinox now. My Transmission man "Marty Matic" at Bill and Earl's Transmission said "she looks great" Thanks again Karl!
I better get back to sleep. I'll follow my birds on the radio and fall asleep.
Have a good night, Everybody!
God Bless us Everyone!
PS
@PMW it's great to see you in the coffee shop!
