Good afternoon gentlemen, working long hours lately. Weekends i'm back on the 2-10-0 project:

Tender is fully painted and decaled. The locomotive still needs a buch of details before i paint it. That main tank with crooked piping is being worked on today.
Went to do some exploring about two weeks ago, the so called Greenwood Breaker being my destination. The breaker is just north of Tamaqua and this switcher has been sitting there for years:

On the way back a stop in Port Clinton:

And a spectacular sun set on other wise dreary day:

A visit to Allentown was also in order to get some shots of Central Railroad of New Jersey station:

During one working day saw this thing on the road: Great Scott!

And an old Reading station on the mainline not far from Allentown.

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin where it’s 13f degrees heading to 34. There is no wind this morning so the actual temperature is also how it feels.

The Badger Women’s hockey game yesterday afternoon felt completely different than Friday night’s win.The 3-0 Friday night final was seeing a gutty Bemidji State team have a goalie playing unreal but still lost. Yesterday 15 seconds into the game the Badgers scored and then turned up the heat! It was 8-0 at the end of the 1st period. 11-0 at games’ end. Onto the Conference finals next weekend in Duluth, Minnesota.

Today maybe mostly spent in the train room. We shall see how the mojo flows today.

Enjoy the day

Has anyone heard when Atlas 64' refer cars (Tropicana) are going to be delivered. Last I seen they were pushed back to late 2024.
The production page at Atlas shows them coming 1st quarter 2025. But seeing there is no container info that they have left China I’d say 1st quarter is out

Once they hit the water it’s 6 weeks to LA Harbor and then cross country to New Jersey. It will be late Summer I’m guessing

Has anyone else noticed an uptick in security issues and attempted breaches in the last few months? I'm getting near-daily notices and warnings from the company where I work telling me about all manner of attempts, most unsuccessful, to get into our company's electronic infrastructure.

Morning all,

Well, I finally finished part of what I was supposed to work on yesterday. Took an overnight to clear a couple of file locks on a machine I needed to give more disc space. On a virtual server it is simple editing a file that tells the host machine how much space belongs to a particular disc. I must have P.O'ed Murphy as it was the only machine who's files were locked out. The host server had 1 lock that took 7 hours to clear and the controller server had another. I knew about the control server, but I had to direct connect to the host to find the other. Actual file edit and telling Windowws it had more disc space took 15 minutes.

Willie: You nailed it was a Saturday and the machines wanted to get even! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

try to BBL

Mac, what are you using to take all these fantastic photos? They look professional, thank you for sharing.

I hope everyone here knows I was just joking about replying to the 5 things you did on your model railroad last week.
That's how I took it. Thus my tongue in cheek response. :D
@NYC_George Swal, Mike said it best, my sentiments exactly! 😁

I bought this a few weeks ago for the second grade crossing I'm installing. I think it was $28.00. I've bought a regular signal from this company once and I didn't like the quality, but this grade crossing looks 100% better quality wise. I'll give you an update after I install it this week sometime.

Good Morning All. Clear and 48° when I started this, It is now 60°. No real change in the forecast, still mild for the next 10 days. Running really late this morning. I went for my usual walk around dawn this morning, and my neighbor to the north was out shutting off his water line at the meter. This is the neighbor who just had his home replaced after the tornado last May. Water running under the house somewhere. Since he was going to wait a while before either he or some contractor (insurance provided) could do anything, he invited me in to look at their new digs. Led to a much longer visit than I intended, but it was all good.

Didn't do the tilling yesterday as I had planned, but I did haul another 4 yards of wood chips and about a yard and a half of compost to the garden and spread it around. Just decided to do some extra since I had it. I sure eyeballed the pool, although it's 3 months too early. My special project yesterday while wife was away, ended up not involving tools, I rotated the king-sized mattress on the bed. It would be easier if it wasn't for that damn ceiling fan.

Today starts with the dishwasher once again and I am starting the first of two loads of laundry as I post this. No shortage of outside projects that I could tackle after I do the tilling.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I added the front sidewalk figures to Gus's Bar.

Troy - Thanks for the tips on the BBQ meat loaf.

I may be getting attempts, but I have the notifications turned off so I don't know until I intentionally run a summary...which I don't always do.

Today is Texas Independence Day. 189 years ago, the Great State of Texas won their independence from Mexico. It would be 10 more years before it became a state.

Everybody have a great Sunday.
