Good Morning All. Clear and 17°, hopefully the last day of temperatures in the teens for a while. Radar yesterday showed snow over our area off and on all day, but the was so dry that it all evaporated before getting close to the ground. Relative humidity was between 20-30% all day.
Second attempt at putting the new crown in was successful at the dentist yesterday. While they didn't admit it, (I didn't ask), the first one was either not mine or was badly made. Today is the semi-annual visit to the cardiologist. I usually just see the nurse practitioner for these visits. Wife is tagging along and will go to the Walmart nearby while I am there.
I avoided as much as possible looking at any television regarding the inauguration yesterday. Watching any of it would have been a waste of my time.
Really. Life's too short to worry about people who's only concern is their being re-elected.
The new guy can't be reelected unless he changes the Constitution pretty quickly.
Out in the train shed yesterday, it was chillier than normal, 52°. I mostly unpacked and examined the booty from the train show Saturday. I picked up an ATSF GP9M from Walther's to lash-up with a GP20 for local switching.
It needs some detailing, but I already have all that I am going to add.
I also picked up two structures that caught my eye, the first is a Downtown Deco kit called Addam's Ave Part 3. It's a Hydrocal kit like all of their others.
I also got a DPM Landmark kit called Live Wire Manufacturing. This one was more than 60% off the original list price and everything was still sealed. Vendor said that it came from an estate sale that had hundreds of unopened kits.
I also picked up four Woodland Scenics figure/details packs.
John - Just decide what you want the industry to be, and use a computer program to make your own signs.
Chad -
I had my toque (knit beanie for this who don’t speak Canadian) and just a bunch of layered shirts. No jacket. And I didn’t feel cold. I had an undershirt, a HEAT shirt, a t shirt, another long sleeved funky fabric shirt like you wear in the summer to keep cool, a t shirt, and a polo shirt. Work gloves and the beanie.
I fully understand your situation there, but your description of "layering-up" is a perfect example of why I dislike cold weather. Otherwise, it's great to read that you are finally getting the whole thing tied up and can move in.
Bob - Basement looks great.
Tom O - Sad but humorous regarding the ex-employee's nephew. From all of my years working with immigrants, both legal and illegal, I noticed that that type of behavior is quite common.
Best wishes to Terry.
Everyone have a great Tuesday.
