Since the area that I roughly model is an area that doesn't salt the roads in the wintertime, it was not unusual to see 20-30 year old vehicles still in daily use in the era ('78-'95) that I model. I use a lot of Oxford vehicles from the 50's and 60's, which due to the value of the English £ can be gotten for under $10@ at my LHS.

Willie after looking at the price of model cars I will have to hit the Lotto. I bought my cars years ago for a whole lot less then than they want for them today.

Got a little closer to being done with the basement walls this weekend. Finished the stairwell too. Once my last wall is done and the rest on the floor is painted, I’ll need to figure out what color I want the stairs to be.

Tonight's beverage:

Larceny

Lerceny 1.jpg

Working on building up the hillside on the South wing of the layout. Stalled when I realized I didn't have a good idea of how to transition into the gorge. May need to look at some Yosemite Valley images since I want to have a thin waterfall in that area.

I had the Black Hawk vs Hurricane NHL game on in the background while I worked on a paper mill design for a good friend and quoted a weathering commission for a returning client.

My choice for this evenings beverage at 11:14pm.

See I don’t just drink diet Dr Pepper

Got an email from our old employees this afternoon heading back to Mexico with their 2 undocumented nephews. They crossed the border before 11am this morning short 1 of the nephews who got into a fight yesterday in Oklahoma at the Casino at exit 1 or 2, Winstar! He maybe getting a free ride across the border very soon

Bedtime in about 30 minutes. All sleep well all!

Home stretch, congrats it’s been a long time coming for you and the family.
Thanks. I was wanting to get the city occupancy inspection this coming Friday but I'll probably have to do it Monday. We've been moving the last few weeks as we get stuff packed. Not beds and stuff that the city could question but just boxes of stuff. Since the construction loan is in my name there is no issue of "ownership" and closing and getting keys... We'll move the beds and other "living stuff" after the inspection.

The house won't be completely done -- still have paint touch ups, and window aprons, and stuff that is non essential. But we'll be in a better place and the stress will be greatly diminished.

Thanks
Chad
