I don't know if any model maker even makes a passenger RS3. It would have an exhaust stack on the short nose end of the engine. You would have to have steam otherwise the passengers would freeze.
George and Hughie: I believe that Bowser is the only manufacturer to include the steam generator on an RS-3, (in HO). Believe they did it with their BM and PRR Hammerhead
The rest must be freight locos. All nice-looking engines.
D&H, LIRR and B&M on this run all have one....D&H has a different style stack. The Run of Readings (still coming?), also have them.

I'm in the process of adding one and Cab signal Box to a CNJ Red Baron RS-3.

Washington 45 - Detroit 31

Washington is going to its first NFC Championship game in 33 years! Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was all but perfect and the defense created five turnovers.

The Texans were not as fortunate. KC 23 - Houston 14. Despite keeping the game close for more than three quarters the Texans couldn't finish it off.

I'm up. Coffee is on. Someone wake up Mel.

It's dark and 19 F-degrees in The Fort (NE Indiana)

Just learned last night that the 2025 National (US) NMRA convention is a mere three hour drive away in Novi Michigan. I think I was there for a gaming convention a couple of years ago.

Would you believe they decided to schedule this over my wedding anniversary.

When I told my wife, she said, "Suburb of Detroit,eh? You better go by yourself."

I even told her about the river cruise for sightseeing and learning about all the cool history.

She told me again I should go by myself... hmmmm

Something tells me you better not go by yourself. You better not go.

My wife loves liver & onions. The rest of the family doesn't. I would make it for her but I don't know how
to cook it so it is not tough.
Cooking liver is not an art. Think of it as a piece of Tenderloin that you want rare. Most people think 'if it is brown it is cooking, black and it is done' and it comes out like shoe leather. Prep - If frozen, completely thaw. Put in somewhat warm spot and let it sit while you are dealing with Onions and Bacon. Onions about 1/4" slices and leave them a complete circle if you can, Bacon about 3/4" slices. Onions are cooked in Olive Oil with a splat of butter until they get limp and almost translucent. Bacon, well it is bacon. I undercook it as it will finish in the liver pan. I happen to like salt, pepper and garlic on both sides, then roll it in flour. Down to it: Medium hot pan, Olive Oil with a little bacon grease, wait until the pan starts smoking a tad. Add Liver and let it go about 4 minutes per side. When you turn it over, add the Onions and Bacon on top, no stirring. Yummy!

You have a 'test dummy', give it a go. Also, you know you have to 'test' it to make sure it is done enough for your tastes ... right?

Got it figured out.

Convention is July 14-18. Anniv is the 18th.

The train show is Sat (19) and Sun (20). I should be cleared by Sunday to travel solo. Get up early, drive to the train show. Drive back. Anniversary will be taken care of. I don't get the convention portion, but I do get to visit the vendors and exhibits.

Good afternoon all. A cold Sunday day with the temperature at 32F and falling.

Spent the last week in hospital again. The 'Vampire Doctor's' kept taking more of my blood. By the weekend they said 'All is well and can go home.'
I must try to keep away from the hospital. It is becoming too regular.

I must thank our oldest grandson (12 years of age) for looking after Dawn; visiting after school each day and staying the night. He ensured Dawn had something to eat and drink etc.. Bless him.

Back later
