Looks like he has a little Pyrenees in him.
Actually he doesn't, he's just a goofy White German Shepherd. We got him in 2019 from a organization called Snow Capped Shepherd rescue, the rescue other dogs, but they specialize in the white shepherds. Here's some info about the white shepherds for anyone that's interested in learning about them. https://animalcorner.org/dog-breeds/white-german-shepherd/
Our neighbor at the time had an Australian Shepherd that used to herd his four kids. It was crazy to watch.
Ryden herds too. He likes to guide you all around the house.

Gasoline prices my kids can't comprehend. My grandfather had a filling station in Baltimore when my Dad was a teenager, Gas was 22 cents a gallon or 5 gallons for a buck (what a deal!). I remember pumping gas for my mom at 23.9 at the Kayo station on Rt 40 in Catonsville just outside of Baltimore. By the time I started driving in 1977 my Mustang ran on a diet of Gulf No-nox premium fuel and it was 53.9 a gallon. Cigs were 35 cents a pack, movies were 2 bucks a head. I was clearing $140 bucks a week and couldn't spend it all! Those were the days!!

I posted earlier today..........
USPS up to their usual tricks again. Two packages were supposed to be delivered here today but when I checked tracking, one package went to Austin Tx instead of here and the other got sent back to Missouri were it originated from. Both packages made it through Dallas to Ft. Worth Tx but Ft Worth sent them on a grand tour. I'm in no hurry for my packages but the longer the USPS has them just increases the chance that damage will be inflicted. Standard practice is my packages arrive at my PO the day after they arrive in Ft. Worth.

Just for grins, I just checked tracking on the package that went to Austin Tx.
Tracking shows it has gone through 3 different USPS facilities, all 3 in different zip codes.
It will be a miracle if that package arrives undamaged. Or for that matter, the one they sent back to Missouri.

Take care....John

Many years ago I adopted a rescue white shepherd named Tripper. Only had him a week. He bonded with me instantly. No one could get near me. He final act that made me return him was my son, 2 at the time came running at me and the dog went for him. Fortunately, I had my hand on him and was able to grab his collar and stop him before he could get to my son. He sat behind me with his head on my shoulder as I headed to the rescue. Sure made it hard.

Did you ever get a tracking number? I called 2 weeks ago and they told me I would have a tracking number in a couple of days. Still nothing and they aren't responding to emails.
I called twice and send 3 emails. the third email finally was answered. It isn't the Bar Mills of old. I talked to him on the first call and was told it would out that day or the next. Didn't happen. I guess you need to be the squeaky wheel.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and landlubbers,

It's Troy again.

I decided to purchase the upgraded internet package while at sea. I had too much missing from my notes, so I can go hit the web apps where I stored all of those. No video, but unlimited minutes.

Just to show you what steerage class gets you on a cruise ship...

Technically there is storage, but it's a lot of shelves and cubbies, no drawers.

We get perks for our platinum status with NCL, so we got coupons to go to the specialty restaurants. Wife chose the Italian place last night. She got the Lasagna, I got the tomato roasted chicken.

And I hit the pub that used to be 24 hours, but now opens at 5:30 am... Forced me to stay in bed for another hour.

I asked for french toast and a side of bacon... breakfast of cruisers.

We're doing a city tour of Nassau Bahamas later today, then back to the Brazilian Steakhouse for our dinner with a platinum coupon.

Catch you all later.

Howdy all from NW Indiana. When I got up an hour ago it was 25 and felt like 21. It feels like 23 now...funny we had a heat spell last week (going up to 55 and it melted all the snow (about 10 inches on the ground). Up here, the weather changes more often than you change your underwear, suppose to get around 5 inches of snow by Monday. The rule of thumb here on planting anything here is waiting a week past Mother's Day; and maybe add another week on top of that. Joan loves to plant veggies and preserve them, we're running a little low on salsa; but she only planted two tomato plants last year and one didn't produce well. Don't know if she is going to plant potatoes again. We found there is a learning curve on potatoes...you don't just put them in the ground and forget about them. I still have one main section of wiring to do; but I ripped out a couple of pieces of track and installed rerailers in a couple of bad spots. The glue is set on them and I will hopefully get going on that....Have a good day everyone and stay warm...or cool depending on what part of the country you're in
