Good Morning All. Foggy again and 46°, but this fog is only about the lowest 20' or so, clear overhead. Not like yesterday's fog that was extremely dense with visibility estimated by me at less than 150'. I could barely see the train shed from the back porch. Expecting 78° today (and through Saturday) after 73° yesterday. Local trees will slip out of dormancy this week, only to be nipped by a frost in early March. Or maybe not! I've seen it both ways.

Seems that the pulmonologist visit went well yesterday. He was pleased and expects me to live until my next appointment with him a year from now. On the way home, I stopped at Home Depot and got another 100 onion plants, this time I got the White Bermuda that I missed on the other day, then went to Hobby Lobby for some craft paints and a few new pointer paint brushes. Used my remaining January fuel points to get a 60¢/gal gas reduction. Regular is still around $2.69 everywhere.

Once home and after lunch, I planted all of those onion plants and I really feel it today after doing the same thing Sunday. A little more relaxed today as I will be planting Radish seed. I only plant about 20 seeds at a time spaced 3 weeks apart, so I don't overwhelm. One can only eat so many Radishes at a time. They will keep well in the fridge, but that's later this season.

In order to fill out my working report, I went to the train shed yesterday. I had set aside another laser-cut wood structure that had the cardstock roofs warped from the missing shed roof last May. Can I salvage this one? Or will I need to start over with styrene and roofing strips.

At present, they are all off and are under weights after a slight misting from the IPA/water bottle. I intend to add a few stiffeners to the small side roof and just use Gorilla Glue and weight on the main roof. The stiffeners on it haven't warped, only the corners and the paper roofing.
I plan on more time out there in the next few days now that the onion bed is done.

Swal - OK, on the layout huh! I already document that here. Can I stay???
Tom O - Living in Texas isn't really bad. But you gotta like HOT summers. There probably isn't as many layout operating groups here like you have where you are.
Terry - Paper employees really do exist in government. My sister is an example, albeit from back in the late 80's. She worked at the time at the Department of Education and decided that she was going to leave and take the "mommy-track". Her supervisor offered her a cushy job of just coming in two days a week for just two hours each day (with her kid) at full salary if she would stay. She came in and read newspapers and clipped articles out that referenced the Education Department and put them in a folder for her boss. It turns out that if her supervisor had one less employee working for him, his job wouldn't be needed and he would be transferred to Timbuktu or somewhere similar. She left after three boring months.

Today would have been George Harrison's 82nd birthday had cancer not claimed him in 2001.
Fog is now almost completely gone and it's up to 55°, time to open a few windows. Everyone have a great Tuesday.

Mornin' y'all from a mostly cloudy Cheyenne. It's 49 with a high forecast at 57 and a low tonight of 26. Usual breeze WSW@29, gusts to 39. Chance of precipitation today 40%. Rest of the week looks good turning colder over the weekend.

Good to hear from everyone this morning. Finally got the last of all the admin stuff transferred from Texas to Wyoming with the exception of my driver license. As we live with D#2/SIL, they both have 4wd SUVs so we sold our KIA the week after we got here. Although I drove the entire trip fro TX to WY, I haven't driven since we arrived. I gave up my CDL when I retired. so I guess it may be about time to become a passenger...

TomO: Wimberley is really nice. Been to several music events over the years there. Home to a number of Texas musicians including Ray Wiley Hubbard, one of my favorites.

Y'all have a good day and take care.

Good afternoon all. Afternoon Tea please, Flo. Add an extra scone and jam please.

Oldest grandson is staying overnight tonight. He says he wants to cook dinner; a curry.

I received a book yesterday, one that has been on my list some time. Allen McClelland and his Virginian & Ohio..

Ken what type of resistors did you use to protect the signal LED's 460 ohm's or were they already built into the system you're using. I can't find my voltage meter right now to test anything.
Swal
The LEDs are powered from the Digitrax SHABC HO scale Turnout Signaling Kit boards that plug into a ribbon cable from the SE8C board. A current setting resistor is built into the board.

Good morning, all! The sun is finally burned through the fog and clouds. Expectations are for near 80 degrees this afternoon. Yes, the smell of spring, however slight, is in the air.

Trains last week - Not as much as I would have liked. Cleaned some of the sidings that don't see a lot of traffic, took a few measurements for an area to see if a new structure will fit, and of course, ran some trains. (2 Kato SD-45-2 with 60 cars)

Good evening. Today was spring like. 64° this afternoon. Now 36°. 56° tomorrow. Removed old tracks and roadbed at steel plant. I can get by with one track outside and one inside. It will look better and work better. Photos tomorrow.
I remembered to put out the recycles...too windy last pickup two weeks ago.

Calgary beat the Caps 3-1 in DC tonight. Ovie got #30 of the season, only needs 12 to pass Gretzky.

Awake since 2 am with a case of the existential dread. Can't say more to to the rules of the forum. Yep, that one.

It's 4:10am local as of now.

Yesterday I managed to word about 7500 words. One more chapter to write on this small book. Then it's revising time.

Got the hardcover book sample in for the book I just ran the kickstarter on. It's ready to order. Now I need to upload the paperback version, so I can order both at once. Looks like about 25 books total between the two

Good morning gang!

36° under clear skies heading for a high today near 60°. Clouds do roll in late this afternoon to prepare us for rain tomorrow.

The flu, Covid, creeping crud, whatever you got. It’s been running loose in the shop currently we have me and one other body on the front desk, and three technicians out with it. Currently, lots of hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray. I feel no effects, but I won’t wear a mask, cause we die like men!

Later gators
