Most drones are too small to hit with anything other than a shotgun, and a drone would have to be nearly on top of whoever was shooting. Then you have everything that didn’t hit the drone on the way up, landing on whoever was shooting into the air.
I just think the longer this drags on without getting answers someone is going to do something. I hope nobody gets caught in the crossfire.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with friendly neighborhood UFOs. It's "fun" living on the planet that Aliens tell their teenagers to drive their saucers fast, double-latch your airlocks and don't stop at that "Earth" planet.

Flo: Wild Berry Poptarts and coffee this morning. I'm feeling advernterous.

On tap for today, One more book from my main series to give an editing pass to, then do the upload rounds. I'm converting the books from British English spellings to American. Need to have them cleaned up for the big kickstarter project next month.

I did one of these yesterday, and it took about 6 hours to run through the Search and Replace followed by a chapter by chapter trip through the grammar checker.

And I need to spend a good day on the Kickstarter to get it in shape so I can get it into preview status and start collecting potential supporters.

Wife still has a cold. I don't [knocks wood] for now. Wife didn't want to go out for dinner, but wanted a burger. So off I went to Culvers. Got a "large" order of O-rings. It was good.

Morning all,

Mostly clear and 31° going for a high of 60° later.

No drones flying in my area yet, this is an area you MIGHT see someone take a pot shot at one, although I see no one has tried the Slim Whitman treatment on them. (aka Mars Attacks)

Not much going on yet, the City Hall generator is running its weekly self-test, so my office is a little noisy until 7:00a. I'll bet the homes behind us really like the noise.

Good morning from an above seasonal 31f degrees So. Central Wisconsin. The high for today will be high 30’s with a possibility of getting to the 40’s. Seasonal high for December is 32 with a low of 18. Dropping below 40 is where I put the jeans on and put the shorts away!

Today is travel day! Terry and I are heading to Racine with a possible stop at Hiawatha Hobbies on the way home, depending on traffic! We’ll pass by too early this morning for a stop plus I don’t really need much. It’s maybe a 1/2 mile off the I94 exit and it’s a real simple on/off exit. We are off to visit and have lunch with her lifetime best friend that have not seen each other since (gasp!!!) October! We will eat in Racine at one of my top 10 pizza joints in the USA. Wells Brothers (top 5) on the southside or pick one up at Momma Wells Pizza (top10) on 4 mile just north of the city limits. Either will be great. The 3#s I lost the past week I’m sure will be found again if we stop in and eat. Since this is a hit and run trip my sister will be staying behind. It’s a 2 hour drive, 4 hours visiting and eating and then 2 hours home. All on the interstate today. Usually I take off highway on the way home but 2 lane traffic in the dark is too hard on my eyes!

Terry cannot drive until she gets used to some medicine she was prescribed yesterday. Her doctor said just a few days as she’ll know within 24 hours if she can handle the meds or not. So far so good, taken at noon yesterday.

Madison made US news yesterday with a 15 year old female shooting up her Christian school. At least 2 dead plus the shooter with 2 more not likely to make it. What a world! The female mass shooter is a rarity and if she is of color even rarer! The media was jumping all over the female angle last night. I did watch some of the local coverage on the TV monitor with the girls last night. Once the repeating started I went to the train room and ran some equipment. On Facebook one of the guys that I occasionally operate with posted his neighbor’s video of the cops blowing the front door off of the shooters house so they could investigate. He lives a couple blocks from the shooter’s home. Just crazy!

Good Morning All. Mostly cloudy and 51°. Nice day again today with a cold front and slight chance of rain coming around midnight. Cooler temperatures for a few days and then upper-60's and low-70's beginning Monday. While Christmas day will be cloudy, it will be above 70°. Never did rain here yesterday, but it did nearby.

I got the "added bubble lights" on to the tree yesterday, and actually assisted with a few ornaments. It's not done yet, but getting there. Ornaments are not usually my responsibility. Waiting on the word to move the totes into the back bedroom until needed for take-down. I did pick up the chainsaw and did some minor cutting and trimming yesterday. I felt like I was ignoring it!;) Haven't cut anything since last Wednesday. Mostly I worked on spring garden prep. This is a bit more difficult this year, since I ignored it all summer after the tornado devastated it in May. Almost all of the Tomato cages will have to be re-formed, as they got crushed by the flying metal roof from the train shed. Mainly, the weeds grew unabated and I'm dealing with that now. Grilled burgers and made homemade Onion rings for supper to cap off the day.

Today will be more firewood, this time "real" logs, as yesterday was mainly brush and kindling. Since I haven't had a fire in the wood-burning heater since Friday night, it's a perfect time to clean ashes out, not necessarily needed but take advantage of no embers. We might make a trip to town to do Christmas shopping. I also need to talk with the investment counselor where I have all of my retirement funds parked. The account that I am already required to take an RMD from, made too much in investments this year and might screw up my original withdrawal plan.

I almost didn't visit the train shed yesterday. Too nice of a day outside, but I finally went inside and did some minor tidying up and figure painting.
Pictures from the archive for today.
This is a pair of GP35's, from Kato that I use mainly for local switching, but occasionally they get called into service to run the scrap metal train from yard to yard.

Tom O - Ohhh! Liver & Onions is a favorite of mine. I agree with your server, I like it warm. We don't get near as humid as the Austin area since we're much further from the Gulf.
Todd - Happy belated birthday. I'll catch you at 73 next month.
Louis - Echoing what Terry posted, David's last post was quite concerning.

Today is the 88th birthday of Pope Francis.

Everybody have a great day.

Good morning, all! A warm day on tap, looking toward 82 this afternoon. Then the cold front Willie mentioned should be here for a short stay.
Today we will be heading to the grocery store, mostly for cookie and pie ingredients. My favorite, mincemeat cookies. My wife uses sugar free cake mix and sparingly adds mincemeat. At least I get the flavor.
Ran some trains yesterday, trying to run locomotives that haven't seen track time in a while.

Is it bad that when I go on Facebook Marketplace and look at HO train stuff for sale, that I often instantly recognize the layouts for sale that are often from old plan books?

And this...
