Anybody relate to this, I don’t. There is no TV in the trainroom and I avoid the upstairs TV that is usually tuned to some “news” channel

Good morning from Wisconsin

Drones, definitely not over hyped. They are out there and the military doesn’t know where they come from? I call BS on that. We can track submarines but not a mothership carrying drones. Our military has not slipped that badly. My dollar says it’s a military program
Ya, kinda think like you do; Military. If they are from another Country, why all the lights? Not very 'stealthy'. I can see them not being detected with radar as they are tiny and probably to low for it to 'see'. Even if it did, probably would report a bird. Well, that was until yesterday when they started showing up in England. Also found out that a bunch of them followed a 47Ft Coast Guard cutter real close coming in from off-shore - Sheriff or Deputy had eyes on them. The one thing that does get me is all those citizens out there taking pix with the cell phones. If they abound about as much as they say, get a real camera on tripod and give that a go. At least pix will be less blurry when blown up. There also is a new Facebook page - has something like ( either ) 5000 images or 5000 members - don't remember. Will be interesting to find out what gives.

Oh, and it is not the Military slipping - they have not been told to 'go fetch' yet.

Good Morning All, and those now watching the skies!
35F @ 90% overcast.

My cutter is to be here on Wednesday/Thursday, looking forward to that. Have been doing some reading - anybody here use 'Lightburn'? They say the license is for 3 seats which does not matter to me but I have additional cutters and it sure looks like said license is for one cutter? Kinda don't make sense - more reading needs to be done if y'all don't know. LaserGRBL is minimal at best. I have Inkscape and Gimp but have never tried those two. Both Lightburn and LaserGRBL can set laser power depending on the color of the drawn line which allows for cutting through or etching at some depth. Still gonna be fun to play with.

Good morning from deep in the fog of So. Central Wisconsin. It’s 36f degrees heading to 45. The fog should be gone in about 7 hours or noonish! If it wasn’t so dangerous it would be beautiful!

The girls (wife, sister and granddaughter) yesterday loved the movie Moana 2. I had quiet in the house from noon to 5:30 when they returned from the movie, shopping and eating. It just amazes me how women can shop anytime!

I was at the daughter’s studio yesterday measuring my new work space. What space I thought I had after measuring in reality is different. I’ll sketch the shop out sometime today or tomorrow. The placement of the spray booth is slightly different than I had thought and changes things a little but mainly it’s my heights for work surfaces and the shelf layout that will change the most. The shelf layout actually is not necessary, more of a thought to really act as a programming test track. I also figured out a budget for this project as I can easily get carried away $$$ cost wise

I’ll be weathering on and off throughout today. Volleyball on TV at 2, Packers at 7:30 and the grandson’s championship hockey game in icy Iowa is streaming at noon!

Enjoy the day

Good Morning All. Cloudy and 52° after a beautiful day yesterday which saw 70° for a high with sunshine all day. Expecting the same high temperature for a couple more days, although with possible morning showers tomorrow.

I made the trip into the attic for all of the Christmas decorations yesterday, half of which we haven't used in 20 years. I started checking out lights which is my part of the decorating deal, but I was chased away since I was interfering with TV watching, The Hallmark Channel of course.

Today starts once again with the damn dishwasher. It's more frequent this time of year because of the Christmas baking. Yesterday it was Sugar Cookies. Then later it will be tree decorating time, delayed from yesterday.

I did do another small project out in the train shed yesterday. Simple and easy. I finished off the plywood lot that the cardstock structure sits on. Two coats of paint and a sidewalk on the rear of the building.

That's it for now, although I am thinking of finishing the street markings next.
I am reminded that the Downtown Deco structure in front was on the old layout and in a better viewable position. In it's current position, there's a whole side that has figures that cannot be viewed from the aisle.

I am considering moving it to a better location, due to this and the finer detailing on the front and substituting a Walther's Merchant's Row structure in it's place.

Anybody relate to this,
I don't watch TV but that is applicable here. It seems to be on here from mid-morning to late evening, with occasional breaks for news conspiracy programs.

That's exactly how I feel about them. I think that they are either our own military or security people; or just some bored techie stirring the pot.

Everyone have a sensational Sunday.

I can so relate! Seems I've been on dish duty the last 3 weekends. I don't use the dish washer, to me its just easier to wash and dry them by hand and be done with it.

Luckily today will be the last. Cut-outs were baked yesterday and only need frosted, and the dreaded caramels need to be made and wrapped.
Then were done for this year.

Good morning all!

Our weather is pretty much like Toms. The rain has ended and its just a gray day out. The rain yesterday never did change to snow but did put a ice glaze on the roads last night. Nothing too serious. it was still a little above freezing.

Tomorrow night the numerous cookie trays from the 3-week baking blitz will be put together and will be picked up or delivered to their respective places starting Tuesday.

Finally got the tree finished yesterday night. It had been up since the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but with everything going on it sat mostly undecorated. Slowly we are getting things done.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning gang!

35° and overcast rain is expected later looking for a high of 37 today.

Wife just left with the grandson he wants to go hit a bucket of balls at the local driving range. Wife said she hopes this will be quick due to the outside temperature. He’s nine years old and skinny as a twig, but he’s active as a bunny, so we’ll see how long it takes for her to get back.

Afternoon all,

Busy weekend and hopefully quiet the remainder of the day.

Spent Friday running errands, PT and moving money around before heading to Emporia KS for commencement ceremonies as my oldest daughter got her Master's in Library Administration. She works at the local library and when the boss is gone is usually the one she leaves in charge.

Yesterday I did the Arthritis Jingle Bell 5K in Wichita. I'm use to walking 2 miles 2 times a week, but the additional mile and actually being timed was a killer. I did what I though was a good pace, especially for a guy with an older knee replacement a knee needing replacement. I completed the route in 55 minutes, 3 seconds. I was last in the 60-65 group, but not last in the race. I am hurting this morning a bit and cramped some overnight, but didn't swell up too bad and fortunately there was enough ibuprofen. I also managed to get the 3 loads of laundry done along with church last night.

Today I overslept until 6:45a and then got the grocery shopping and some additional errands with the wife this morning.
