We have been rewatching the old "West Wing" series. With my daughter now at work in the White House, well, perhaps you can see the connection.

Amazing to see how the party depicted in that show has moved. 'Nuff said. If you have not seen it in a while - might ought take a look.

No one want to toss any wisdom on the automated TO issue? Walthers LCS, Cobalt IP Digital, others? Well, okay

Dave, that looks like an American Goldfinch at your feeder. We have those come by very rarely, and they are a treat to see if they do come.
This is the wife's flower garden this year:

She's planted lots of flowers that are intended to attract hummingbirds. I believe her efforts were successful, too. There are 3-4 of the little hummers coming around this year. She's planted a-lot of tube type flowers, that hummingbirds can get into, but, bees and wasps have a tough time with.

We both enjoy sitting out by the garden, having coffee when the weather is good.

Not sure what muscle relaxers are going to do for internal spinal cord pressures. As I said, most of the problems are from the spinal stenosis which is an inflammation of the sheath that encloses the spinal nerve and the 3 bone spurs which are stabbing into the spinal nerve.
Gonna be another hot one today. Left the windows open last night as the temps went down to low 70s. Captures the cool air. Will button things up this afternoon and turn on the A/C till about 9pm.
Since I'll be home the rest of August, I guess I'll plan another op session for the club. I'll poll them first to see what Saturday would be best. No shows to set up for until October so I'm sure some of the guys are starving to run their trains.
Your skin can absorb the minerals, you r body can move it about, but yes I see your point, but my point was it might not help, but people bathe in Epsom salts to help and so there is no down side to trying it. Not terribly expensive, no doctor visit required, no prescription required, and if you try it and it is useless (no I am not pressuring you to try it) you can tell me definitively waste of space idea. However I accept your extremely sceptical, and not without good reason, it is not an informed on your medical issues kind of advice, it was just a cheapie easy to buy in your supermarket and try, my other half suffers from various body issues, carpel syndrome in the elbows not the wrists plus various others, sometimes all of them together is just enough to make him think about dunking his head in the water and leave it there, but the Epsom salts take the edge off, and then he is in just able to cope mode again. not a cure by any means.
So yes I accept your scepticism, and fully understand it, it may take the edge off as you report several issues, and relaxing in a cool warm bathe in itself is relaxing - if you have the time, and can just be incorporated into a bathing regime - if you shower no help -
But having expanded my reasoning is NOT me trying to push the idea on you. Just trying to justify why I gave such an insipid option when you called me on it.

Ithink you might be getting a sample of why my family hate ’arguing‘ with me, and for that I apologise, even if I lose ‘said argument’ I still try to justify my response…..no no I will drop it now….mouth zipped….hand tucked away..loh no need it to type…..going going gone……

Well howdy there internet people and those who rescue lost computer techs

It's troy again

TomO your wife is due to be sainted.

My own wife needs a vacation, and I keep thinking of Wisconsin from all the pics you're post. When I was little, we used to visit extended family in Waukesha WI, and go to whatever the deer park place was. I remember being amazed that every time we visited, someone would put a wired wraparound-the-bumper advertising thingie (nonsticky bumper sticker in today's parlance) around Dad's back bumper to advertise the Deer Park or whatever it is/was.

She's in a cycle where we can't get a solid week to make the drive past Chicago to get up there, but it's on the list for later. I've got an author friend that writes a mystery series set on the Mailboat on Lake Geneva, and it would be fun to coordinate trips with her and finally get to meet in person.

In other news, we have gutters! We were the last unit finished yesterday. No Amish crews on this part. In fact, haven't seen the Amish woodpeckers all week. Looks like they're on another project until the gutters get done. So, I don't have to move my patio furniture and grills just yet. But, rain is in the forecast, so who knows?

And, finally, my plantar fasciitis is on the mend. Been doing my stretches, my tennis ball massaging, and wearing the Birkenstocks. So, of course, bursitis in my left elbow is acting up.

hurts to rest my arm on the arm of the patio chair so I can type. 3D printing to the rescue... and I didn't even have to print anything.

That's the foam insert that wraps around a bottle of liquid resin for the 3D printer. I cut a 2-inch section out of it to raise my toes when I do my stair stretch for my foot. So, I trimmed off the sharp corners, and drop it over the metal arm. Then I let my elbow hang off the foam, leaving support for my forearm.

Today shall be plotting out the new mystery. I know who the victim and perps are. An architect stabbed with his own pencil! (stylus since he works on a tablet). Now to figure out all of the connections to the red herrings, and how to frame a merman for it.
Ingenuity with rubbish that is recycled is always a win win.

I loved the West Wing, anything Aaron Sorkin involved in is always worth a watch, as for the motor question, I did think about it, but as I only use Seep, Peco and Hornby motors, not much help I'm afraid, but I did manage to melt a Hornby,TO motor yesterday, not sure how, flipping thing wasn't even fixed in place or wired up, just laying on the layout, totally weird.

Our electrical software issues are resolved. Jason the “specialist” got everything working before lunch yesterday and then was terminated from his employment around 3. The reason given was he told the customer (us) we weren’t hacked and without company ok spoke to the police. He then showed us proof of the issue and where it came from.

We do have a written apology from the Electrical Contractor for the unfortunate demise of our system that was their issue. It seems the 16 year old son of the owner is working there in the Summer had unauthorized access to client remote servicing and was “playing” around. From what Jason told the Sheriff there are 2 other clients who he knows were previously affected by this “playing“ around. So far we are the only ones who contacted the authorities. The Deputy was very happy when he gave us back the computer last night. We will hire Jason’s company when he gets it organized as we will be terminating the Electrical/Solar Contractor this morning if our Attorney can react that fast!

Boy, "The Company" just opened a BIG hole into their operations. Ifn I remember correctly, this is pretty much wire fraud - don't remember if it has to be across State lines or not.

On top of that Jason got fired for telling the truth? I am sure he also has a case; at least with the unemployment office. The Company *should* have reprimanded him with a couple of days off, and a "atta boy" trophy.

In my somewhat sheltered opinion, The Company knew what was happening and was glad to have the service $$$ coming in. I also suspect that the word will get out ( it always does ) and there will be more to this.

At least you are up and operational again and now know what to watch out for.

Bathing in Epsom salt. I've tried that in the past for other issues on recommendation of its amazing benefits. Didn't work for me, ever. Basically, just spent a half hour or so stewing in my own body juices. Pretty much the same as a public swim pool except for the large mix of human body excrements.
I'll stick to taking showers and leave the Epsom salts for others who might enjoy that concept.

Johnsonville is ok, if you can't find better(like Usinger, Klement's or Wentzel)
Mike, when I heard about Vin Scully my first thought was of you. I knew you would feel it deeply. I'm deeply sorry friend.

Sausages, I love that stuff!
I'm a man of simple tastes. Subtle is probably a better word.
I don't like lots of spices or combinations of strong flavors.

My way of eating hamburgers is a good example.
Cheeseburgers - ketchup, yellow mustard, and dill pickle chips. That is all!
Hamburger (no cheese) - lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Nothing else needed or wanted.
I would pass on that hamburger Jaz posted. I don't even like A1 steak sauce. A good steak only needs salt in my book.

I know you are right, there are many good sausages that most other people would prefer.
I've been to the Kecskemet Market in Hungary. I have sampled many of the hundreds of sausages hanging in the market.
To be honest 9 times out of 10 I'll prefer to have a Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar sausage, boiled please. Add some yellow (not sweet, the onions that "talk back") onions and sauerkraut, that is what they will serve in my version of heaven!

I hope you are having a good day my friend.

Louis - Are the latest federal filings against States Attorney Marilyn Mosby old stuff just being rehashed, or is she really in trouble again?
I don't know. I have mostly ignored the news. I was relieved she did not win reelection. I was shocked by all the support she got!
I would not be at all surprised. Her trial is scheduled to start soon, September, I think.
Goodbye to her and good riddance. I'm hoping her husband (president of the city council) is next!
Baltimore City is and has been for many years mired in mismanagement and corruption. The voters are to blame!
I Pray, Dixon and now Mosby losing is a sign of things will change, Lord hear my prayer.
I love my city!

So in 30 minutes I am off to sit in waiting rooms.

enjoy the day
Wow! I suspect Terry is helping Jason with his paperwork for his LLC/SCorp. Since she likes to pick up strays. ;)

Sounds like he's making a rose garden out of a defecation sandwich or two his partner and employer gave him. Wife and I definitely need to visit WI just to see the great Solar Array at Casa O. Have they filmed a Bond movie there yet? Do you rival the Liquid Salt tower out in Nevada?

And, yep... I'd be canning a company where the owner's son plays pranks on their clients.

My mother was always an advocate of bathing in Epsom salt. I never saw or felt any value in it. Standing in a hot shower has rhe same effect, without any additive, and the effect lasts until the water is turned off, and the drying process begins.

Fraud is fraud. Interstate just makes it a federal crime. Regardless of where the money went, if the company has any nexus in another state, it can be pursued as a federal crime.
