Good Morning All. Cloudy and 69°, should reach 83° later on. Didn't make it above 79° yesterday and there was a very brief unexpected thundershower last night that lasted all of ten minutes. Got everything wet but wasn't enough to register in the rain gauge. Conditions this morning resemble a very heavy dew.
Grocery trek yesterday was successful and uneventful. Prices are still going higher on meats and fresh produce. I rarely pay attention to canned goods so I don't know how much they have gone up. Gasoline was up to $3.85/gal, after bottoming out at $3.45/gal just three weeks ago.
The stress test yesterday bothers me though. I completed the six minutes on the treadmill at a faster pace than I wanted and was a bit stressed. I am bothered though by the staff interaction. I did not see the cardiologist, but his staff insisted that I change my Wednesday follow-up to Monday; and several prescriptions were called in to the pharmacy. All without any explanation. In addition, a blood draw that I was going to do Monday, has to be done today so they have the results on Monday. Of course, my insurance company is denying one of the prescriptions and they are probably right in doing so.

So due to life getting in the way, I did not report to the train shed yesterday. Got home late from the stress test and had to go straight away to supper prep. Wednesday though, I took the camera with me when I walked and took a few pictures.
I have posted here before about the new neighbor who started developing the 100 acre property about a quarter mile south of me, across from that wheat field I have occasionally posted. He's been there about 5 years now, starting in a travel trailer with the intent to turn the pastureland/hayfield into a country estate. He started by moving two large houses in, and remodeling/modernizing them. His wife finally moved up after selling their house in the DFW mid-cities area. This is the guy who uses a weedeater along 1000' of frontage on the county road out front, to make his barbed wire fence look good. He also built a lake out front with a fountain.
The pick up truck is decorative, it never moves. He has other pieces of farm equipment on display scattered around behind the trees.
He temporarily lost his property tax agricultural exemption on parts of the property, so he put up some cross-fencing and bought some cows.
Yes sir, Texas Longhorns!
He regained part of the exemption back.
He also put a small bridge over a small intermittent creek that is just to the right of the above picture.
Whoops! Where's the bridge?
Looks like it washed away during Sunday's rainstorm. I told him that this would happen, but he is a know-it-all and doesn't listen to his neighbors who have lived here for a while.
Guy - Nice looking fish. Does your wife still chop them in half (in the middle) and cook them with the heads on?
Tom O - Your grandson's experience reveals volumes on what is wrong with today's education system. Too bad that the principal probably cannot fire the teacher.
Patrick - I hate MFA!
Troy -
You know... I never once asked myself: "Self... do you wonder if Willie has nudes on his layout?"
That's how we were born!
Chad - While it's a great idea, I just don't think I could bring myself to do a porn shoot. I believe that they have one over in Germany on the Miniatur Wunderland layout.
Got a few more comments to make, but we're headed out the door right now. So I will get to them later.
Have a great day.
