Village ordinance
I can understand that for noise, but not for anything else. To me, dogs stay outside. I give them a house and a place to stay outside of the weather, but mine were always outside unless it was 4th or New Years when we had to drug him and let him do the zombie thing inside.

But then again, this was Hawaii.

Good Morning All. Cloudy and 66°. The rain forecast for tomorrow has been extended forward into this afternoon. Rain on and off for the next week is possible.

Nothing special happened on the homestead yesterday and today will be a repeat. I do have to make a trip to town for a prescription that was screwed up earlier in the week, this morning since they are only open until noon on Saturday. The dishwasher awaits me. I've tried to talk my wife into switching that chore, but all she offers is cleaning toilets. I've passed. I did grill a rib eye last night, made some sauteed mushrooms and frozen peas. She made the garden salad for us. Tonight is roasted chicken which I think that she wants to make. She comments that I use too much Garlic in my rubs!

I got some time out in the train shed yesterday. While my primary intent was to run a few trains, I also populated one home on the new portion of the layout. It's a Walther's structure called Mission-Style Bungalow House, a stucco structure with a large front porch and patio out back. Here are pictures taken over on the workbench.

Its site on the layout is with the back of the house right up next to the layout edge, so that's where the action is.

I have a Woodland Scenics scene that I have been holding for this opportunity.

The two orange lawn chairs were not part of their kit, and are 3D details from MiniPrints, which I painted.
After some fiddling around, I came up with this scene.

Looks to be a keeper.

Tom O - Have a safe trip this morning.

Everybody have a great Saturday
Thank you. We arrived home about 1 hour ago! Here for a few days and off to Vegas. Best commercial flights we have been on in years. Austin to Chicago was 35 minutes early. Chicago to Madison left the gate 12 minutes ahead of schedule. We are watching the NCAA men’s Championship game. The Badgers have a chance, that all I can ask for

We were at a restaurant and a girl with a baby carriage came through. People were moving out of the way and my brother went to help move some chairs for her. He took a look into the carriage and being who he is, next thing I hear is wow ugly ass baby. She was pushing a dog around in a baby carriage! All I get after that was a lot of b!tching from him about it. Ridiculous!

That’s where you loudly ask. Who’s the father?

Good evening. The Youtube Premium thing resolved itself in a typical Capitalistic manner. Last month (March 15), I signed up, with a 30 day free trial, then $13.99 a month after. It hasn't even been 30 days yet, and I got a notice from Youtube the rate will now be $16.99 a month. I immediately canceled my subscription. I'll go back to watching any videos I have to using a computer and browser with an ad blocker in place.

I noticed my beets were bolting due to the hot day yesterday. Pulled all 3 up and got some nice sized ones. I cleaned off the dirt and now they are sitting in a box, lined with amazon paper to cure. I've read that I can just put them in the refer and they'll last a few months. I hope so as I was planning to pull one at a time out of the ground to eat slowly, but the bolting changed all that.

To me, dogs are a part of the family and they stay inside with their people.
Yup, my dogs were family members as well. They just lived outside. They had full range of the yard to dig up, chase whatever was in it and once in a while, catch birds out of mid air.

We tried to get the first dog to be friends with the neighbor's cat. At first, it was rough as can be expected, but after a few minutes, they got used to each other. All was fine until he had to do the butt sniffing thing and then it all fell apart. haha

My grandfather was a dairy farmer.
And a moonshiner, but that's a story for another time.

When I log in to YT, everything shown to me is AI slop. Everything. I can search and find stuff, but not really the stuff I was expecting to see, and it doesn't seem to remember my viewing history when I'm logged in. I log out, and don't even need to search to find stuff based on my viewing history. I think that's pretty much the opposite of what most people experience--otherwise, nobody would bother signing up for the service.
Kinda wish you had written it this way, just sayin': "My grandfather was a moonshiner. And a dairy farmer, but that's a story for another time."
Heck. As a moonshiner he might even have been one of the founding members of NASCAR.

Howdy folks, just back from a nice dinner with one of my nephews and his wife. We had a great time and a very good meal. Ready for Church tomorrow, then enjoy lunch and our Afternoon Service, then try to clear my hobby bench of Battlemechs so I can clutter it up with a TTrack module. Beautiful evening out, 74 and clear, got the van washed on the way home.
On a rant, I am really tired of people having NON service dogs in grocery stores and especially restaurants. Service dogs are very welcome around me, but non service dogs should not be in anyplace food is being sold or prepared.

We’re at the movies tonight. A Japanese film called Exit 8. It seems to be from a 2023 video game. Labeled a psychological horror. Main star is one of the Arashi boy band main member — Arashi is the biggest boy band ever in Japan.

Our local Cinemark usually has a few foreign language films playing.

Wife and daughter were huge Arashi fans and with the boy having been in Japan it’s good practice for them.

Last weekend we sat Project Hail Mary. We have a ton of Cinemark movie club credits stored up since with Covid and then the house project we didn’t get to the movies much. So now trying to use them up.

100% agree with you. You can buy a "Service Dog" harness on Amazon just to justify bringing it in. Home Depot seems to attract the most poorly behaved fur babies. There is a woman at the gym, late 70's, that has a true service dog. It's a Belgian Malinois that watches over her. I don't know if it's for vision, seizures, or some other handicap, but you can tell that this dog is trained for a job.

First thing that comes to mind is he had his bug speed for Vr set incorrectly. He rotated too soon as can be seen later in the video when the aircraft rotates again and lifts off and climbs effortlessly.

Another possibility is speed was not calculated correctly for the amount of weight aboard. Could be due to heavier than expected fuel load or extra cargo that was not included in the V-speed calculation.

A third possibility is the flap setting was incorrect for the rotation speed. It appears he has 2° of flap set. They may have made V-speed calculations for 5° of flap instead which at 2° would increase take-off roll required before Vr.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Might have been a gust of tail wind too which would decrease indicated airspeed and require more runway.

Edited to add, it's also possible the power wasn't set correctly for the aircraft weight against required Vr speed. On older aircraft like the 727 and early 737's EPR or engine pressure ratio, the top gauge of the stack, was used to set power. That gauge is not in newer aircraft and the N1 gauge is used to set engine power in today's aircraft.
