Good morning all!

I was up with the dog at 5:30 but decided to try and lay back down and ended up sleeping for another hour and a half.
pretty rare for me. Once Im up I cant usually go back to sleep easily.

Should be a fairly decent day weather wise. Currently its 39F with an expected high of around 60F. I see they have taken
pretty much all the rain chances out of the forecast. Guess I better get the lawn mowed as it still shows rain for tomorrow.

Today is the weekly grocery trip, gas up cars, a load or 2 of laundry, etc.....

Not much else going on at the moment.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good Morning All. Cloudy and 66°. The rain forecast for tomorrow has been extended forward into this afternoon. Rain on and off for the next week is possible.

Nothing special happened on the homestead yesterday and today will be a repeat. I do have to make a trip to town for a prescription that was screwed up earlier in the week, this morning since they are only open until noon on Saturday. The dishwasher awaits me. I've tried to talk my wife into switching that chore, but all she offers is cleaning toilets. I've passed. I did grill a rib eye last night, made some sauteed mushrooms and frozen peas. She made the garden salad for us. Tonight is roasted chicken which I think that she wants to make. She comments that I use too much Garlic in my rubs!

I got some time out in the train shed yesterday. While my primary intent was to run a few trains, I also populated one home on the new portion of the layout. It's a Walther's structure called Mission-Style Bungalow House, a stucco structure with a large front porch and patio out back. Here are pictures taken over on the workbench.

Its site on the layout is with the back of the house right up next to the layout edge, so that's where the action is.

I have a Woodland Scenics scene that I have been holding for this opportunity.

The two orange lawn chairs were not part of their kit, and are 3D details from MiniPrints, which I painted.
After some fiddling around, I came up with this scene.

Looks to be a keeper.

Tom O - Have a safe trip this morning.

Everybody have a great Saturday

Morning all,

Had a conference on Thursday that had me out. Yesterday, I got motivated after getting the sink drain in the bathroom fixed with a non leaking drain part. Motivated to the point the bathroom is 95% complete. I have to connect the wife's bidet attachment and touch up some paint and it's finished. I did put the door back on it this morning, so I still need to get back to it.

Everyone have a great day.

Morning folks. 56°F outside this morning and partly cloudy. Supposed to be 74°F today.

Up most of the morning on and off starting at 0130 when the neighbor put her dogs outside in the pen in front of one of their garage doors. The dogs bark for about three minutes then stop for about five. The cycle repeats. All morning long at least until 0530. That's the last I remember hearing them. They are out there without food or water, and no shelter if they would need it during a rain.

Die Polizei will be called if this happens again tonight. Had I not been so sleepy last night, I would have went downstairs to use my phone, but I was just too tired to get up. Tonight, the phone will come to bed with me. Village ordinance states no dog will be left outside unattended for more than 20 minutes at a time.

Yes, these are the same thoughtless neighbors with the Ford turbo-Diesel alarm clock and trash in their yard and grass that doesn't get cut. He didn't come home last night so I didn't have to listen to the truck, only the dogs.

Nothing planned for today except a visit to the train room after lunch. I never did figure out what it was I wanted to take care of last week when I got in there. Maybe it'll come to me today.

I'm also checking on reports from NASA about the condition of the heat shield on Integrity. Hopefully with photos. I just have to keep looking for them though as I don't think they will announce anything either good or bad.

Hope you all have a great weekend and get more sleep than I have so far.

Servus!

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with blockers... mental or advertising

It's Troy again.

About to head out to Fish n Chips, since the wife pronounced that's what she wants for lunch.

I've been doing some minor revisions on the MRR Benchwork, and prepping to tear apart my gaming table and build three smaller tables out of it. But, I have to move a wire shelving unit to the garage and that's more work than I want to do today. it will involve cleaning out a corner of the garage to put the shelving unit in place. That's a Monday job.

So I have a wire shelf in the middle of the crew lounge right now after doing some rearranging of that area. Good thing I didn't want to watch TV. Fortunately, my cat hasn't tried to eat the TV (yet). He might, however, if I play Disney's "The Great Mouse Detective"...

Sounds like carbon copies of the neighbors directly behind me minus the noisy truck.

Their yard is full of crap, they never mow till its a jungle, and they have 2 small dogs they throw out during the day in a small pen that
bark constantly and of course it drives my dog wild when they get going. They have 3 kids that go out back and run amuck and throw
balls and whatnot against my fence.

Good morning folks, 71 here and sunny, heading for 88. It got up to 84 yesterday and was a really nice day for a drive with the windows down. I dug out an Army Transport bag that some one gave me last year to start putting the mechs I have been painting up and discovered that it was full of metal mechs from another game called CAV, They are [mostly] well painted and ready for use if I can find another player. Anyway, I will just order some replacement trays for my stuff and find a storage container for these. Lady C is sleeping in, and our plan for the day is to relax until we meet one of my nephews and his wife for dinner. We haven't actually gotten together since Christmas, so it will be good to be with them. He's one of those guys at work, that is a problem solver, so he gets a lot of overtime, because everytime there's something messed up, he has two bosses that call him first.
Anyway, you guys have a good day, Kevin

I have an iPad, and have gotten tired of being forced to watch up to 10 minutes of ads in order to watch a 4 minute video, so I decided to try their paid service. While it's nice not being forced to watch ads that are longer than the videos, I've noticed that in order to find and watch what I want to watch, I have to sign out of Youtube. That pretty much defeats the purpose of paying to avoid ads, because in order to locate and watch, I have to sign out, then see the ads anyway. Is this something to be expected, or am I again managing to accidentally find a way Murphy is "helping" again?
I don’t have to watch 10 minutes of ads to watch 4 minutes of video on my iPad. I’m not paid so I do have to watch about 30 seconds to get stared and then every 7-10 minutes it stops to play an ad or two. Sometimes you can skip within a few seconds and sometimes you have to watch 30 seconds in order to skip. It is annoying but compared to the video itself it’s minor.

There is so much fake AI slop that I just watch stuff from the people I have subscribed to most of the time. I hit the ALL tab at the top, or occasionally one of the other ones it creates based on my history, and watch from what’s on there. Sometimes I’ll go directly to a channel if I’m expecting something. (I watch a few vlog news channels on Ukraine for example that have a schedule and if they don’t show up I’m the ALL tab I go check).

YT is annoying but I still get enough value. I watch during lunch for the most part.

I also use it to find videos to fix cars or model trains or if I need to find a video to learn how to do something. Search works for me for that.

I got to ride on a funicular RR once in LA. Interesting.

Evidently there is one in Switzerland nearish to Marco.

It's a special one.

The young presenter in the video does use several S-words and an occasional F-word. But it's informative. Not that I want to rush over to see it.
