https://undergroundminers.com/st-nicholas-breaker/ This may shed more light on your question.

As I recall from another site, the coal was cleaned and separated from the waste (clum), then broken down to eight separate sizes for distribution. I saw it once, I used to summer in Schuylkill County, and it was gigantic. Working times for the mines and breakers, was published in the daily newspaper(s), example, The Pottsville Republican. The paper also published the daily extra board standings and vacancies for the railroad crew boards - PRR Schuylkill Valley; Reading Company, Shamokin and Reading Divisions.

New St. Nicholas Breaker, is near Minersville PA, and is currently operating with increased demand for Anthracite. Served by the Reading and Northern.

Well, the heavier drugs have worn down from the MRI earlier and at least I know I am not a hypochondriac. Turns out I have four slightly bulged discs in my back and one that is bulged. Thank God there are no completely ruptured ones. So I go to a Doc next week for my evaluation. I am thanking God for this news, especially since the accident on 2003 could have killed me or left my paralyzed. You guys have a good evening, mine is improved.
