I will be a 30 year member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers as of May 1, 2020. This story appeared in the latest issue of the Boilermaker Reporter, the publication of the union. I posted this over on The Railroad Forums and it was pointed out that the article refers to the Big Boy as weighing 1.5 million tons. That should read pounds, not tons.
