I saw this color scheme on a REA reefer in the Four-Ways-West "Southern Pacific's Scenic Coast Line" book on page 99.
I had a pair of Walther's REA reefers similar to the same model in the book. But they were painted in Hunter green with white lettering and the large red diamond herald. I really dislike that more customary Hunter green. So I did my best to color-match and lightly weather the reefer I saw in the book.
I like this color and subdued look much better for use on my mail train. The microscale decals aren't exactly right but it's good enough for now.
