Question On Broadway Limited "Sidekick" Quantum Horn/Bell Activator

Hi I saw this yesterday ,Broadway Limited "Sidekick" Quantum Horn/Bell Activator For HO Scale DC Layoutson Yahoo did a search on sound systems.My question is can I just wire this too a Power Packs and then a small speaker and then plug the power pack into a wall outlet.Would it still make sound I want too use this on my Control Stand I made.Thanks

No, the Broadway Limited system is designed for use with compatible DCC equipped locomotives, such as the Quantum sound units Broadway sells (See the connection here...)

There you go Bob... BNSF4723, the MRC system is about the only one you'll find that you can plug in, the ones you've been finding are DC adapter's to allow people with sound equipped units to use them on DC layouts.

Ya I guess the Synchro Sound Box for Diesel Locomotive by MRC is the one for me I hope it makes a continuose sound the longer I hold down the Horn.Did ya see my Control Stand pic I posted in Misc,Projects Forum Section yet.
