Precision cutting styrene?

Ignorance is Patriotic
I am attempting to cut styrene pieces with precise measurements, but have become dismayed that my cut pieces are sometimes "a little off" from my expectations. I am using an Xacto knife and a metal rule to cut the pieces, but for some reason, they always turn out 1/2 millimiter off the mark than I had anticipated. I can hardly build professional projects with such erronious cuts.

How do you guys cut precision pieces? Can you give any advice on how to measure and cut styrene? Thanks for any help you can offer.

I use a Chopper III for cutting styrene/wood strips, seems to be pretty accurate for me, not sure what a guy would use for sheets of styrene, though it seems like I have seen something before, maybe from MicroMark?

They say measure twice, cut once...
