nGuru uncouplers. $22 each.

These work reliably with MT couplers.

They are powerful enough to get many Accumates to uncouple.

They activate/deactivate when you want...

Although servo driven - you do not use digital controls.
You use a momentary toggle switch.
1.5 - 2.5 volts DC. Just using up your old batteries in a holder, is the cheapest way to power them. Since they are momentary - batteries last a LONG TIME. Two batteries can handle a club sized layout.

To install, make sure you dry fit first.

Once satisfied, lay the track, right over the hole where the uncoupler goes. Then apply contact cement to the uncoupler and the track. When you insert the uncoupler - make sure the magnets are aligned with the rails EXACTLY. We use clear plastic top covers to help make this possible. Once dry you must reinforce the mount - do not rely on the contact cement to hold it. Gorilla glue....

Each uncoupler has a SPST switch to operate a panel LED so you can tell when the uncoupler is active.

We may someday, but not right now.

Testing would need to be done to discover what size magnets & spacing
works best in HO. We don't even have an HO coupler...

Now, if someone can figure that out, then it would be no trick for us
to make them.
