Power Pickup replacement on IHC

After serving as one of my workhorses for 15 years, my Chessie IHC pacific has become somewhat unreliable unless I run it fast. Upon closer inspection, the power pickups are shot. The ones on the first axle seem to work OK, but the ones on the third axle are cracked and don't make good contact anymore, leading to sporadic performance. I have never had to replace a set before. Can I even get new ones or is there a better way to make new pickups? This is one of my best engines, so I would like to fix it properly.

I have an IHC PA and they use copper/bronze springs to wipe the backs of the wheels. Is that what your engine uses?

Mine has Copper wipers I believe. I am not sure how to make new ones, though. I have tried in the past. but I can't seem to get the springy effect.
