Someone sent this to me. It's so true it hurts.

Physical Laws of Model Railroading
Compiled by Matt Conrad

First Law of Model Railroads: The track plan always expands to
completely fill the available space.

Second Law of Model Railroads: The number of stalls and derailments is
directly proportional to the number of people watching.

Third Law of Model Railroads: Inaccessible tracks will cause
inaccessible derailments.

Fourth Law of Model Railroading: Physics don't scale.

Fifth Law of Model Railroads: Unlabled wires become untraceable.

Sixth Law of Model Railroads: The cheap Bachmann engine will stay on
the tracks while the expensive brass import makes the dive to the
floor.

Seventh Law of Model Railroading: It's never as easy as the Kalmbach
book makes it look.

Eighth Law of Model Railroading: The desire for modeling a prototype
is inversely proportional to the decline of the prototype.

Ninth Law of Model Railroading: Pets and model trains don't mix.

I think they left one out.

Your waistline will expand as fast as the allowed aisle space decreases.

Willis,

I've even had the pets one happen. I walked out in the garage and found a cat sleeping on top of the layout. There was only one problem... I don't have a cat! My neighbor does though, and apparently the day before while we were washing cars and had the door open he came in to snoop around and got trapped in the garage. Of all the places to sleep, where does he pick? The middle of the layout, probably since it was elevated.

The good news is I that I have very minimal scenery, so he didn't hurt anything.

LOL mine is in the basement, I don't own a cat, so no cat's allowed. I have a dog a shepherd mix that wanted to join me one day but the basement is about 9 or so ft. deep so the stairs were kind of steep for her. She hasn't tried to come down since. :D
Cheers!! Willis
