I got in a Rivarossi engine for repair, but it appears my usualy source of parts for them, Golf Manor Hobbies down in Cincinnatti has gone defunct. The number I have is the same thru directory assistance, is changed or disconnected. Anybody have a trashed Casey Jones chassis, His has a bad driver. I think it might have gotten more damaged in shipment, even though the box is perfect. I am waiting for him to call me. I am not sure i can save the driver at this point. Such a shame to, the model is in beautifull condition. Anybody know if Golf Manor went out of business or if they have a new number? Mike

MM, what number did you call for Golf Manor Hobbies? I have 513-351-3849. It looks like their former web site is dead so I'm afraid they may have finally gone under. They were struggling for a long time as that area of town began to deteriorate. My sister-in-law lives near there and I'll aks her to go by and check next week when she gets back from a trip she's on.

A usually good source for Riv/AHM parts is http://k4-pacific.com/. Walthers is supposed to be the US distributor of Rivarossi parts in a deal with Hornby, which now owns the line. I don't know if they are actually stocking parts or just the newer Rivarossi models.

I ran accorss his site as well, I will email him, he doesnt have much on ebay at the moment. I have the bad driver superglued and drying now. Guess we will see if it will hold up. Considering we havent seen a new production Casey Jones since the late 70's or so, I doubt Walthers would have parts. The Casey Jones was actualy a Pocher model that Rivarossi ended up with when they bought that company up. That is the only number I can find for them, and its no good. Thats a shame if they went under, they probably had the largest Rivarossi parts dept in the states. Hopefully someone ended up with the parts inventory, they had quite a bit the last time I was down there around 2000.

Golf Manor Hobbies is out of business, I seen on a forum a few months back, something to do with his health and no body to take over, Ebay is your best chance for AHM parts. I also have a casey jones 4-6-0 that needs a headlight assembly and also i need of number boards for the berkshires if anyone has them. Thanks

You can probably go with brass castings for both of those parts. The correct headlight for the Casey Jones engine is a Lima Arc headlight, I think Cal Scale does that one. I also think Cal Scale does the "flying" numberboards as both C&O and the NKP used them among others. My very first Rivarossi was a berk that was missing its boards and I used a pair of brass ones to replace them. I am not sure what he is going to do, it runs ok, but not sure how long my superglued drivers will hold up. I will say that the NWSL worm and gear set make the speed much more tame and easier to control. I wonder what became of Golf Manors vast supply of AHM/Rivarossi parts?
