Opinions on the state of my taconite ore car conversion.

After learning that all BN ‘Lake Superior’ type 70 ton ore cars were equipped with extensions welded to their upper lips which allowed them to carry 70 tons of the lighter taconite, I began attaching similar extensions to several S-helper service ore-cars I’d received for Christmas

I have assembled the extensions from strip styrene, added grab irons, and glued one side to each end, creating “L” shaped pieces. Tonight, when I get home from work, I intend to glue these pieces together to create boxes, then paint them and glue them to the ore cars at a latter date.

While this is still a work in progress, what do you guys think???

Thank you…I seem to be unable to post my better pictures due to the fact that they exceed the 400 kb limit on JPEGs.

How can I shrink the size of my pictures without destroying their quality???
