Older kato F unit coupler replacement

HI all.

recently i bought for a friend a Kato F3 seems to me like an old run, along with a super chief santa fe cars.
the issue is the locomotive equipped with that older style couplers and the passenger cars equipped with the newer- realistic looking couplers.
now im not a big N scale expert and want to know how can i replace the locomotive's couplers? which brand makes a good replacement?
 
Kato should make a replacement unit for that loco. You can call them they have a number on their website thats in illinois. they should be able to help you.
 
Kato replacement couplers

Recently I talked to atlas, and was able to get the new accumate couplers from them and they can also be used to replace those old couplers on the F unit you have. They're very similer, and compatable with the micro trains and are cheaper. Either way, it shouldn't be any big deal to change them out, if I can do it anyone should be able to.
