O Scale Track

I'm new to the hobby. I'm wondering if there is a difference in O scale track? Is there a difference in quality between manufacturers? For my project I only need straight track (I bought a Rail King PCC streetcar for a street scene). I want to embed the track in the street, no track bed.

If you are going to operate using 3-rail then Gargraves track would be the best looking.
Otherwise if only the railheads are going to be showing - you may as well use "Old School" o27, but the rail tops are rounded (tubular).
You could use the newer Lionel track that comes with roadbed attached - has more of the "T" top!
