I am an intermediate HO model railroader. I found a semaphore similar to NJI's #1010. It has a single wheat bulb, and the arm has red and green "lenses". There are 2 black wires for the bulb, and 4 very thin wires I assume are for the solenoid that activates the arm. I use the old block type controls, with 2 homemade cab/speed controls. Manual turnouts. I would love to get this semaphore working, but not sure how. Wondering if perhaps someone has any ideas. I was thinking of perhaps wiring the solenoid in parallel with the power wires to the specific block, causing some current to flow through the solenoid wires, but not sure if the current would be enough for activation, or it just plain wouldn't work.
Thanks,
Tyler
