Went to the annual spring open house at the NYSME in Carlstadt,NJ. They hold a spring and winter open house every year. Always love to come to this one as its one of the larger ones that I know. They serve the HO scale fans and the O scale fans aswell. There are a few others in the area, The Gardent State Model railroad club and the Ramapo Valley Model Railroad club.
Took about 45 minutes of video using my little Flip Mino video camera. Here are a few clips.

The O scale layout hasn't really changed in decades. The rails are original rails from I believe the 1940's I was told. They had to be custom made by a machinest back in Brooklyn,NY. Forgot how much they had done in terms of weight. But the cost then is almost nothing compared to what we pay now.
