Nick, Chip gave you some very good advice. Don't worry about rather or not you can achieve certain goals with your layout because of the lack of knowledge or skills. The learning process is what we all go through and it is continuous. With every hour you spend on the hobby there is more knowledge gained and new or better skills learned.
