Here's the latest to come out of the RI Denver Shops, besides the GP9. RI 8081 is a Kato, former CPR and 8099 is an Athearn, former beansniff. This is the second Kato I have bought (first is an F40PH) and I am really impressed with it and can't wait to run it!

Here's a few production photos:

Zephyr,
First class work. The decalling work is some of the best I have seen for a long stripe, white no less.

mtrpls is right, one KATO and you ain't buying anythin' else.

OH, those leaves are WAY out of scale. they almost look 1:1 to me. LOL

Thanks guys! You are right about Kato, but I really wish they would make some new stuff already! Their locomotives are getting harder and harder to find...

Hey, they are! They're releasing a new run of SD40-2's. Now we can hope they re-release the Dash 9's (I NEED a few...).

Very nice looking by the way.

Thanks, Jim!

Alcomotive, for the RI I have 1 4-8-4, 1 SW1500, 2 GP38-2s (1 in the old blue scheme), 1 U30C in the old scheme, 1 SD60, 1 U36C, 2 SD45T-2s, 1 C44-9W, 2 AC4400s, and 1 AC6000. So that's a baker's dozen, with more to come...

Thanks, Joe! Stay tuned for more as always...

By the way, are you a member of the RITS? I just joined this year and hope to make it to a convention in the future.

As a kid The Rock used to roll into the north side of El Paso Texas on a line down from Tucumcari , NM. Love your paint scheme , maybe it would have kept them alive.
